Children Are A Man's Strength

                                         Psalms 127:4
                     "As arrows are in the hand of mighty man,
                              so are children of one's youth"

        Men who have children born to them in their youth, by God's blessing become their comfort in their older years.  A man in battle has weapons that reach were he cannot go; and good son's are their fathers arrows speeding to hit the mark they were aimed at.  There is nothing a man cannot accomplish when he has affectionate children to stand with him and his desires.
        As parents we must have our children in hand while they are still children, or they are never likely to be so when they are grown, and we must try to point them in the right direction so they might prove to be serviceable in this life and the next.  Let the Lord favor us with loyal, obedient children, and we will find in them our best helpers.  If we take care from the very beginning that they are directed in the right direction, we shall see them go fourth into life to our comfort and delight.
        Amen!!
