Where Would We Be Without Our Lord?

                                         Psalms 124:1
               "If it had not been the Lord who was on our  side"

        God became our ally; He took our part; through His son Jesus Christ our Savior.  If our Lord were not our protector were would we be?  Nothing but His power and wisdom could have guarded us from the cunning and malice of our adversaries; therefore, believers let's say so, and openly give Him the honour for His preserving goodness.  The Lord is on our side and is our defender, and will be for ever and ever.  We should always exult in this joy with holy confidence, for we are too slow in declaring our gratitude.  We'll speak about salvation and not be stirred up about it, and it would not hurt for our thanksgiving to have a little spur put to.  Let's stop and imagine what would have happened if the Lord had turned His back on us.  Now look around and see what has happened because He has been faithful to us and never has left us alone.  My friends, let us praise our Lord today and every day for His faithfulness is never ending.
        Amen!!
