From The Cornerstone, To The Bow

                                         Zechariah 10:4
                     "Out of him came fourth the corner, out of
                         him the nail, out of him the battle bow,
                          out of him every oppressor together"

        The Lord visited the remnant of His flock in mercy, and was about to renew their courage and strength for conflict and victory.  Every creature is to us what God makes it to be.  Everyone raised to support the gospel, is as a cornerstone supports a building, and to unite those who are different as nails do, to join different types of timber together; all this comes from the Lord.  Everyone that is employed to overcome their enemies must have strength and success from him.  As followers of Christ we must look to raise up people to unite, support and defend his people, and the gospel. Christ will never say, "Seek ye me in vain."  From him shall be the cornerstone (Ex.17:6).  From him the nail, (Isa.22:23-24,) and from him the battle bow.  This being the scene of the events around the deliverance of Israel, and the ultimate fulfillment when Christ comes again. (Rev.19:11-21.)
