By Faith, Or By Favor?

                                          Habakkuk 3:18
"Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will
joy in the God of my salvation"

Habakkuk still had delight and triumph in God, even when all was gone; because he knew his God was still there.  Believers, we should all stand on "Faith' as strong as Habakkuk's.  When those who are full and happy, they enjoy God in all things.  Even in the hardest and saddest times of their lives they can sing the praise and glory of God.  This is the principle ground of our joy in God, that He is the God of our eternal salvation, the salvation of the soul.
Our love for God, like this devoted Prophet, is not based on what we expect God to give us.  Even if God should send us suffering and loss, we should always rejoice in the God of our salvation.  Habakkuk's faith is one of the strongest manifestations of faith in the Scriptures.  Today is a good day for all to evaluate their strength of  "Faith" in God and by His grace; salvation through the life, death, and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ.
        Amen!!
