Romans 8:26
"For we know not what we should
pray for as we ought"
One place we all need help is in prayer. The problem is that we do not know what to pray for because we do not know the will of God completely. Jesus taught us to pray for God's will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven, and we should, but we often do not know God's will in the many difficulties of life. God's will is revealed generally, but we live specifically, moving day by day through specific and detailed problems.
This is where the ministry of the Holy spirit comes in. In ways we cannot explain and with groanings that cannot be uttered, the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us at the throne of God's grace. These groanings are a spiritual work we cannot understand, but they interpret our prayers before God. This does not mean that we as Christians are never wrong in prayer. As James tells us, we can ask amiss, or we can simply fail to ask at all. When we sincerely do not know how to pray or what to ask, the holy Spirit will intercede for us so that God's will is done in our lives. When a child of God prays about a matter, he can be assured that God will either resolve the matter or send sufficient grace to endure the trial. We have an awesome God! He knows our heart! Amen!!
May God Bless You
