John 16:32
"Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is ,now come, that
ye shall be scattered, every man to his own,
and shall leave me alone: and yet I am
not alone, because the Father is with me."
Are you beaten? Do you feel like you are ready to throw in the towel? Has the cold hands of defeat wrapped themselves around you? Beaten! Beaten! That is such a negative word to come out of the mouth of believers that know they live under grace. However; there is one way to take all the worries away. Read the last chapter of the Bible first.
If the universal judgments in Matthew 24 stood without hope, the tribulation would be too much to bear. When we see the White Rider in Revelation 19, we can rejoice for we see the coming of our Lord. "And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord of Lords (Rev. 19:16).
Jesus is the Overcomer with a capital "O," and we are the overcomers with a little "o." "In the world ye shall have tribulation." Without the last part of that sentence it would seem as if our lives would be filled with sadness. Jesus said, "But be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). So whenever you are discouraged, go to a quiet place and read again the final chapter of God's Holy Word.
Amen!!
