The Truth Upheld By The Church

                                     1 Timothy 3:16
                      "And without controversy great is
                              the mystery of Godliness:

         "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness." The truth is here called "the mystery of godliness." A mystery is that which, being concealed for a time is brought out of concealment by a revelation. It is something above our comprehension. For it is the mystery of godliness or piety. It is the mystery by which the Divine life is nourished in the soul. As religious beings, we need verity: "a state of being that encompasses an enduring truth."
        We can only breathe freely in an element of mystery. All religions that have ever been have sought to provide for the appetite for the wonderful. And where there has not been found real mystery, there have been dark inventions (IE) dark Satanic religions.
        My Friend, the mystery of godliness is Christ. he is God, who was made flesh, and was manifest in the flesh. God was pleased to manifest himself to man, by His own Son taking the nature of man. He was reproached as a sinner, and put to death as a malefactor, Christ was raised again by the Spirit, and so justified from the false charges that were charged against him.
        Let us remember that God came in the flesh to take our sins, to redeem us from all iniquity. These doctrines we must be shown forth by the fruits of the Spirit in our lives.
