Acts 1:8
"But ye shall receive power, after that
the Holy Ghost is come upon you"
The Lord had told the disciples what they were to do. Christ ordered them to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father, in which they would be baptized of the Holy Ghost. This enlightened them and sanctified their souls as well as gave them power to work miracles. This was their power to continue after the Ascension of Christ.
This same enlightening, sanctifying and power that they received; we receive when we accept Christ and the Holy Spirit is poured upon us. Just' as the disciples had duties from the instructions Christ gave them; before His death and after His resurrection; we as believers have instructions as well. In fact they are the same.
Christ also gives us the strength equal to our trials and our calling. Yes the road of life as been graded and made level; however we must pave our own road to the finished point of standing before Almighty God. Let me say' as you pave your road; use the right tools. "Read God's Word" "Accept Christ As Your Saviour" "And Walk Worthy Of His Love." That is our power to continue!
