Ephesians 4:20
"But ye have not so learned Christ"
Our hearts were once empty, now they are full. They were once blinded, now we can see. Our minds were once filled with darkness, now the Light of the world has come into our hearts. The right kind of thinking is always related to thinking the right kind of thoughts about one person; "Jesus Christ." When our minds are preoccupied with Him, they are thinking rightly. When they are not, they think wrongly. He is the divine Occupant who makes our minds work right.
As believers the "old man" is dead and the "new man" is born (Verse 22-24). The new man is our new nature , which becomes increasingly more Christlike as we let Him control our thinking, our attitudes, and our behavior. This change of attitude is reflected in some very striking characteristics. It manifests itself in truthfulness, victory over anger, strength to resist temptation, honesty, clean talk, cessation of quarreling and conflict with those around us, and the development of an attitude of forgiveness. We can do these things in the spirit of Christ. "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you" Amen!
