Confidence In God’s Protection

Psalm 140:1
"Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man:
preserve me from the violent man;"

Here is a picture of a man who is surrounded by foes. Around are slander and hatred; at his feet were ploy's and traps. No one can withstand a day of battle, standing alone. Similar experiences happens to God’s people still. Some are hunted by earthly enemies; others are stung by the fiery darts of the wicked. My Friend, life is like a path through a forest, where attackers hide and where traps are laid. At any moment the enemy may break from his ambush. Our faith in God, at such a time, brings us strength, salvation, and protection.
We belong to the kingdom of Christ. The only coals of fire that we can deal with are those of love and mercy, which we heap on the heads of our enemies. The least in the kingdom of love stands on a higher plane than the greatest in the kingdom of law. But let the wicked remember, "But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds:" (Rom. 2:5,6) . There is an inner sanctuary where the Believers  shall be safe!
Amen!
