Genesis 1:27b
"In the image of God created he him;
male and female created he them"
God created us with a need for and dependence on, relationships. We were not designed to do life alone. "And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him." (Genesis 2:18). This is a reminder that not one of us can fulfill our live without others. We must first remember to have life-giving relationships and not life-depleting ones. There is no way to have a godly relationship that is full of hurting emotions, such as negativity, criticism, jealousy, insecurity and fear. That relationship my friend will end in disaster.
We must proactively build our relationship with a real purpose and destiny. I encourage you to share and be upfront and honest in all relationships whether they be, close friends, family, a dating relationship or a marriage relationship. Make sure that each party is working in harmony, helping each other, and not hindering each other. If your relationship is producing the fruits of the spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, than you and I will know that we have a godly companion and, a "God Honored Relationship."
May God Bless You
And Your Families
