Psalm 66:1
"Make a joyful noise, unto God all ye lands"
This my friends should be our vow for the upcoming year "2014." Let's make a joyful noise unto our Lord, with true heart felt vows. Amen!!
Our nation is in a season of political danger and it seems that our leaders have left God on the outside when He should be on the inside so they could tap into "God's Wisdom." The laws they make and things they promise is a vow made to God and Country. We too as individuals must not forget our vows made to God, or redeem them to be seen by men. Our vows must be performed unto God alone, with our hearts and eyes waiting on His acceptance.
We as believers are under a covenant, which was made at conversion, and renewed upon being baptized, joining a church and being a part of God's table. This year we should be very deliberate in promising, and performing our vows.. A vow unkept will burn a conscience like hot iron. No matter what your vows may be; (i.e.) vows of service, donation, of praise, or whatever your heart feels, it is not small in God's eye's. My friends our vows to God should without fail, be fulfilled to the utmost of our power. Amen!!

"Noise Unto God"
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Waiting On God Is Never A Waste Of Time!
Psalm 62:1
"Truly my soul waiteth upon God"
To wait upon God, and for God, is the habitual position of faith. To wait on God truly is sincerity, and to wait on God only is spiritual chastity. The presence of God alone moves a man's heart and soul to submission and rest, and when this is felt, there is not rebellious word or thought that can break that peaceful silence. The proverb that; "speech is silver but silence is gold, is more than true in this case."
There is nothing in this world with such eloquence and full of meaning as the patient silence of a child of God. It is the eminent work of grace that calms our wills and subdues our affections to such a degree. Our minds are laid open before the Lord, and ready to be blow like the wind by every breath of His mouth. We are freed from all inward and self caused emotion, and there is no power that can move us, other than God's divine will. Therefore my friends, let us hold to Our God and His ways, and not be turned by any other force. Amen!!

The Light Of Life Is From God
Psalm 36:9
"For with thee is the fountain of life:
in thy light shall we see light"
This fountain of life from our Lord is a self sufficient spring, by which all life is sustained and perfected through Him alone. Life is in all people, however the fountain of life is only in God. Light is the glory of life, and life in the dark is misery. The Lord alone gives, natural, intellectual, and spiritual life; He alone can make our lives bright and lustrous (If) we believe by faith.
We need no candle to see the sun, we see it by it's own radiance, and then we see everything else by the same luster. We never see Jesus by the light of ourselves. We only see ourselves in the light of Jesus. There is no inward intelligence of ours that leads us to receive the Spiritual light, but don't worry God has that under control as well. Here is how; purely and only by His own illumination, the Holy Ghost lights up the darken pits of our hearts ungodliness. Friends, I prefer a ray of light from The Throne Of God, than an afternoon of created wisdom. Faith derives both light and life from God, and neither dies or darkens. Amen!!

Make Sure, By Asking!
Psalm 35:3b
"Say unto my soul, I am thy salvation"
Besides holding off the enemy, the Lord can also calm our minds by speaking assurance from His own mouth. God assures us that we are, and shall be , safe under His Almighty Hand. Just one word from our Lord quiets all our fears. This Scripture alone tells us that salvation may be made sure to all mankind; "I am thy salvation."
We may then know that Christ is in us. If Christ be in us, we are in Christ; if we be in Christ, we cannot be condemned. "There is no damnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." Let me however leave this point with you all; "Even though Our Lord has given us His salvation through His Son Jesus Christ, let's not take it for granted, but let us come to it through faith, and believe that Christ died for the worlds sins. I leave this old Quaint saying with you: "A man can never be to sure of his going to heaven; however a faithful, God fearing, washed in the blood of Christ man, can be sure of eternal life. Amen!!

Who Will You Call Upon!
Psalm 34:6
"This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
and saved him out of all his troubles"
Though The Lord has saved my soul from eternal death from the grave, and has given me life eternal; there are times in my life as they were in David's, when I feel so utterly friendless, there is no hope's of joy to face each day. I am sure that I'm not the only one that feels this way at times? But we don't have to feel that way long! Our God hears our cry's no matter where and when they may come. "In my distress I cried to the Lord" Psalm 18:6. "Unto thee will I cry, O Lord, O Lord my rock" Psalm 28:1.
When we offer up prayer and supplications with strong crying and tears seeking for mercy, we will find "God's Grace." When our prayers are so prevalent God answers them. If you have a broken Spirit today; than I say cry unto the Lord and He will hear you and save you out of your troubles and fears. You may ask why am I so sure? Because your cry's and mine that are from the heart will go before God, even into his ears. God will add wings to our prayers there and back, just as if were for life or death. Friends we have an Almighty God, that wants us to call upon Him daily. Amen

The Power Of God"s Word
Psalm 33:9
"For he spake, and it was done:
he commanded, and it stood fast"
It is all one with God to say, perform and promise; because He is willing and able to do all. There is no distance between God's saying and doing, as they are among men. When God speaks it is done; when God commands, His commands are stood fast. By God's word the Heavens were made. The worlds were framed by the word of God.
One word from God can do more in an instant than the united powers of heaven and earth could ever do. With this knowledge of God's Power and Grace should remove at once the discouragements that hinder our living actions of Faith. We have no reason to be weak in our confidence in God! There is no reason to doubt His promises! God's performance is true and just, therefore; our performance of service must be true and just toward Him! Let's stop looking at our callings from God as uncertain and difficult! Let's stop tearing down the frame work that God has build for us!. For the house that we build will not stand in eternity, without the frame work of God. Amen!!

Your Life, A Bethlehem For Christ
Isaiah 7:14
"Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear
a son, and shall call his name Immanuel"
His Birth in History, "Therefore also the holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God" (Luke 1:35). Jesus Christ was born into this world, not from it. He did not evolve out of history; He came into history from the outside. Jesus Christ is not the best human being, He is a Being who cannot be accounted for by the human race at all. He is not man becoming God, but God Incarnate, God coming into human flesh, coming into it from outside. His life is the Highest and the Holiest entering in at the Lowliest door. Our Lord's birth was an advent.
His Birth in Me. "Of whom I pray, His Birth be in You." Just as our Lord came into human history from the outside, so He must come into us from outside. We must allow our personal human life to become a "Bethlehem" for the Son of God! "Ye must be born again." This is not a command, it is a foundation fact to Eternal Life with Our Lord and Loved one's. Do you and your family know The Lord Jesus Christ? Today would be a perfect day to welcome Jesus Christ into your "Bethlehem" and enjoy all that God wants to give you and your family.

The Power Of God's Hand
Psalm 32:4
" For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me"
The sense of God's power punishing or correcting, is called God's hand. This hand, is a correcting hand, whereby God chastises and buffers our ways. The old saying; "The finger of God is on you," that would be enough to get our attention because God's finger can crush us with just a touch. How much more powerful would His hand be upon us?
When under terrors of conscience, we have little rest by night, because of the grim and evil thoughts of the day that lingers in our hearts and minds and haunts our dreams; then we lie awake in a cold sweat of dread. God's hand is very helpful when it uplifts us; but it is awful when it presses down upon us.
There are three points of doctrine here: (1). All afflictions are God's hand. (2). God often lays His hand heavily upon His children. (3). God will sometimes continues pressing His heavy hand upon us through both day and night, because He loves us so. Unconfessed transgression will dry up a man's soul, and like poison will eat away the life of a man. I want to always feel God's hand upon me; however I pray that His hand is lifting me up and not pressing down upon me. About you, how do you want to feel God today in your life?

The Sunshine Of Heaven
Psalm 31:16
"Make thy face to shine upon thy servant
save me for thy mercies' sake"
I remember times during my military career; when I was deployed away from my family, and loved one's; from 30 days up to one year even three years at a time. During those times there were a lot of dark and broken hearten days. It seem to be always dark and gloomy, but then the sun would come shinning through the darkness and things always seemed much better and made my spirit stronger and put a smile on my face. It was not the sun that cleared things up; it was the sunshine of heaven breaking through my clouds of trouble.
In Psalm 31 David, had a cloud of trouble around him, just as you and I do from time to time. David did not ask for the sun to shine on him; he was asking for God's favor. We all should seek God's favor in a sense to enjoy being with God. We should want to know if God is pleased with our service to Him and our manner of life. Friend's when we plea to God, the only plea we should plea is mercy. Faith will be known and God's face will shine on you; therefore pray through the cloud of trouble and God will dissolve it, and you will have the sunshine of heaven upon your face. Amen!!

It's Time To Recognize God
Psalm 29:1
"Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty"
There is no man, nor angels; no pagan gods nor idols that beholds the glory and might that our living God holds. We as His creations should recognize His glory and might! We should praise God and rejoice in our hearts with every breath we take. Unto the Lord and him alone, honor must be given.
All of these natural causes around us, or as most call them, are our God in action and we best not think or believe that things happen by accident due to these natural causes. If man believes that things happen due to natural causes; or an accident, than man is nothing but an accident heading to the final accident "Death forever without God"!! So today all people on this earth let us join our brothers and sisters, and angels of heaven and worship the Blessed and Holy One; the only one, "Our Living God" Let us bow our heads at once and loyally give homage to the King of Kings.

A Confession Of Faith With A Testimony
Psalm 28:7
"The Lord is my strength and my
shield; my heart trusted in him"
Our Lord employs His power on our behalf, and infuses strength into us in our weakness. Dependence on our God gives us great independence of spirit, inspiring us with confidence. We Have both sword and shield in God. The Lord preserves us from unnumbered ills; for our shelter is God. I Have given my heart to my Saviour Jesus Christ, and I trust in Him. I will attach myself to Him, I will forever trust, confide in, feel safe and rely on "My God."
If you are searching for something to fill that big hole in your heart, there is only one way that I can guide you. My friend, that is the way of my Lord; Jesus Christ. Let the strength and the shield of the Lord be granted to you, through you trust and confidence in Him. This is "My Confession Of Faith With A Testimony."

What Does God Hear From You?
Psalm 27:7
"Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice:
have mercy also upon me, and answer me"
The pendulum of Spirituality swings from prayer to praise. In the Psalm's of David we find him go from prayer to praise quiet often. If we would listen to David's voice as we read his words, we will easily hear him go from music to crying; just as he did from verse (6) to verse (7) in Psalm 27. David knew how to handle his Spiritual weapons, and he was much at home with the weapon of "Prayer."
Let us check ourselves; are we as Spiritual as David? I pray that we are. We might not seem to be as dedicated as David was to his lord; but remember David was not perfect either, he was just a man love by God. God Loves all His creations; therefore He loves us the same as David. Do we have the anxiety in our voice when we talk with God, as David had; or do we even care if The Lord hears us, just as long as we are heard of men?
The voice of a genuine man is everything to our Lords ear. The voice is profitably when used in private prayer, it blocks all distractions between you and God. When we ask for mercy from God; what is it that we are asking? Be kind to me Lord? Sorry, I made a mistake again? I know what I done please go easy on me Lord? Mercy is the "Hope" for sinners and the refuge of saints. It is an attribute that all petitioners dwell upon.
We may expect answers to prayers, and should not rest without them anymore than we would if we had written a letter to a friend about important business, and never received a reply. So let's be more like David, let God hear the anxiety in our voice of prayer, that truly comes from the heart of one that Loves God. Amen!!

Jacob's Ladder; The Prayer Ladder!
Psalm 25:1
"Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul"
Our holy trust, our conflicts, our great transgression our bitter repentance, are all here when we call upon our Almighty God. When the storm winds are out against us, we the Lord's vessels will make our way for our well remember harbor of refuge. What a mercy that the Lord will condescend to hear our cries in time of trouble, even after times we have almost forgotten Him in our hours of prosperity. Unto thee O Lord do I lift up my soul. For it would be a mockery unto our God to lift up just our hands and eyes and not bring our soul into our devotions.
True prayer may be described as the soul rising from earth to have fellowship with heaven; it's like taking a walk up Jacob's ladder, leaving our cares and fears at the foot, and meeting with a covenant God at the top. There are times that we lift every thing up to God except our soul's, they have lost there wings, and the soul is heavy and earth bound, it has become more like a burrowing mole than a soaring eagle. We must never give up on prayer!
Let us stand at the bottom of Jacob's ladder; Let's call it our prayer ladder, and with "Faith, Hope, and Surety" of God's assistance, exert all our powers to lift up our hearts unto Him. Every step up our prayer ladder is a higher step of "Faith." Our "Hope" is not caring how far we have to climb to get to the arm of God, which is the "Surety" of His Grace. What a lift in Spirit when we know that we have reached the Throne of Grace and know without a doubt that our God has heard our cries. Amen!!!

Amen!!!

Upbringing And Preservation
Psalm 30:3
"O Lord, thou hast brought up
my soul from the grave"
What an example of assurance beyond a doubt, that David displays of what God has done for him. Just in the first two verses of Psalm 30, David repeated; "thou hast" three times over.. Just by reading those words of David, we can feel the gladness and assurance in David's heart, of what God had done for him.
Some may say; "Well what did he feel"? "What did God do"? David felt what all sinners that have sinned against God have felt and come to reality with. All of us just like David at a point in our life finally realized that we had descended to the brink of "Hell" and the "Pit"; and yet we can be restored to tell all people of the Forbearance of God. For we know it's Grace from God and the giving of His only Son for our sin debt which gives us the "Upbringing from eternal death to Preservation of eternal life." Therefore we should be doubly thankful to be spared from the grave. Let us go fourth and let this world know that Our Lord Jesus Christ is the "Preserver and Redeemer" of our souls. Amen!!

Rest In Christ
Matthew 8:26
"Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?"
When we are in fear we can do nothing less than pray to God, but our Lord has a right to expect that those who call upon His Name should have an understanding confidence in Him. God expects His children to be so confident in Him that in any crisis they are the reliable ones. Our trust is in God up to a certain point, then we go back to the elementary panic prayers of those who do not know God. We get to our wits' end, showing that we have not the slightest confidence in Him and His government of the world; He seems to be asleep, and we see nothing but troubles ahead.
"O ye of little faith!" What a feeling must have shot through the disciples; "Missed it again!" And what a feeling will go through us when we suddenly realize that we might have produced downright joy in the heart of Jesus by remaining absolutely confident in Him, no matter what may be ahead. Amen!!!

A Demand Of Discipleship
2 Corinthians 8:21
"Providing for honest things, not only
in the sight of the Lord, but
also in the sight of men"
A demand of discipleship is self-sacrifice; Our Lord placing Christ and His interests above ourselves (Mark 8:34-36). This consists of denying ourselves the wrongful seizure of royal sovereignty; (ie) the usurpation of sin and giving ourselves to Christ's management of our lives. Self-sacrifice is not popular, for it is costly. Yet it is something which we cannot afford to leave undone.
Our Lord taught that to save one's life for one's self is to lose it as an investment for eternity. On the other hand, to give up one's life to Christ and His interests is to save it, for He will return it with eternal dividends. We should learn to treasure self-sacrifice and make it's commitment, for it brings blessings to others and to ourselves.
Throughout his ministry Paul was always mindful of the temporal needs of the poor believers in Jerusalem. We as Christians cannot very well call ourselves Christians if we can not abide by what (2 Corinthians 8:21) has laid out for us. The kind of self-sacrifice which pleases the Lord is motivated and energized by divine grace. First we must give our-self to the Lord, then give to others according to God's will. God has shown me, and I'm sure you as well; that His grace can motivate and enable us to do things which we believe are impossible or which we are not willing to do. Amen!!!

Battles Lost And Won
Jeremiah 4:1
"If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith
the Lord, return unto me"
The battle is won or lost in the secret places of the will before God. The Spirit of God apprehends us and we are obliged to get alone with God and fight the battle out before Him. Until this is done, We lose every time. The battle may take a minute, a day, or a year, that will depend on us, not God; but it must be wrestled out alone before God. Nothing has any power over the man who has fought out the battle before God and won there.
If we say, "I will wait till I get into the circumstances and than put God to the test," we will find we cannot. We must get the thing settled between ourselves and God in the secret places of our soul where no stranger meddles, and then we can go forth with the certainty that the battle is won. Lose the battle there, and calamity and disaster and upset are as sure as God's decree. The reason the battle is not one is because we try to win it in the natural realm first. Get alone with God, fight it out before Him, settle the matter there once and for all. Amen!!

Lord, Examine Me!
Psalm 26:2
"Examine me, O Lord, and prove me
try my reins and my heart"
What surety of love David had for his Lord. He submitted himself unconditionally to any form of examination which the Lord might see fit to employ. David wanted God to "examine him," to look him through and through; make a survey; put him to the question, cross examine his evidence. Well that was not enough for David. He said; "prove me" put me to trail, and see if I would follow such wicked designs as my enemies impute to me. Than "try the reins of my heart" Here David had ask for three modes to be challenged, which from the original writings before translation refer to trial by touch, trial by smell, and trial by fire.
Have any of us ever ask for such an examination from God! A trial that looks into our most secret parts, where our affections hold their court deep within the chambers of our heart. My friends this is much different than repenting. We want God to look and see if we like murder, and treason, and deceit. All this is a very bold appeal to put before God; however it manifests a most solemn and complete conviction of innocence. Who shall stand against such a trial? I pray that all who call themselves Christians can stand; for the reality of all-things are tested, and it will be the most thorough investigation ever made of the believers heart.
So the singleness of heart and true Christian simplicity is best seen and made evident in troubles and afflictions. In prosperity every man will seem godly, but afflictions do draw out of the heart whatsoever is in there, whether it be good or bad. Can you pass an "examination" made by God today. Amen!!

Lord, Is It I
Psalm 24:3
"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?
or who shall stand in His holy place"?
From the very beginning we all know it is uphill work for the creature to reach the Creator. Who is this mighty climber who can scale the towering heights all the way to glory? In heaven He reigns most gloriously, and who shall be permitted to enter into his Royal presence? God has made all, but he will not save all; for there is a chosen company who shall have the honor of dwelling with Him. These choice spirits desire to commune with God, and their wish will be granted. But then the next question is yet to be answered.
"Who shall be able to stand (or) continue there? He casteth away the wicked; so who can abide in His house? Who will be able to glaze upon the Holy One, and abide in the blaze of His glory? Certainly it can't be done by communing with God by law, however grace can prepare us for the divine presence. The question that is before us is one which all should ask for themselves, and we should never be at ease until we have received a answer of peace. With careful self examination let us ask, "Lord, is it I"
So without vanity and deceit, the question is quickly answered. There is only one almighty climber that could climb God's highest hill to glory; and that my friends was and is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Now what's that to the rest of us? Christ is our-Head, and if the Head be once risen and ascended, the members will all follow after in their time. Amen!!!

Bands Of Love
Hosea 11:4
"I drew them with cords of a
man, with bands of love"
Our God is a loving God. Even though Israel was weak and helpless like children and foolish as children He loved them. Our God loves us the same way that he loved His chosen people. As we grow older we should reflect upon the goodness of God, not just during our childhood, but on each day of our life. Let us reflect on the pains He took for us and with us. Think how many times we needed guidance, and He was there to show us the way. He gave us His Commandments and taught us the way of His Commandments. He holds our hands so we might not stray; He holds us up encase we might stumble and fall. God draws souls to Himself; with "The Cords Of A Man" Jesus Christ, and with "Bands Of Love" when Jesus Christ gave Himself for Mankind on the Cross of Calvary. Let us all make sure that we think God today and even if we must say in silence; say; 'I Love You God! Amen!!

The Rope That Binds
Isaiah 5:18
"Woe unto them that draw iniquity
with cords of vanity, and sin
as it were a cart rope"
In this Scripture God laid it all out for us; from our smallest iniquity to our endless vanities, and how quickly we get tangled in sin and bound by Satan's device's. These cords of vanity and Satan's cart rope is used all through the Bible in the life's of God's people, Israel. Let us take a peek into what I like to call Satan's device "The Rope That Binds" (cords and cart ropes). In the Hebrew language "cord" is from the word "chebel" a line (strand) or snare. The "cart rope" is a many fine lines or strands twisted together into a large rope.
God tells us with out doubt in (Isaiah 5) how Satan deployed his attacks on Israel, by "The Parable Of The Vineyard." Let us not forget King David and Samson as being strong men for the lord and how easy Satan's cords and cart rope finally bound them in there sin. And you know God didn't forget us. He tells us of the fine lines and snares that can start a little at a time until we find ourselves bound by Satan's "Cart Rope." Read about the "Fate Of The Wicked" in (Isaiah 5: 8 - 25). Also in (James 1:14-16), we see how man falls.
People say each day I don't sin I am a Christian; I will not be bound by Satan. Well out of lack of wisdom from God, I myself and probably you the reader has said the same thing. Why? Because we never think or expect to be bound in sin once we are broke free from it. But when we put the cares of this life before God and just dabble in God's word we best look out. For the strands of iniquity will start to appear a little at a time until they have full control and can break or try to break our bound with our Lord; "even if it's just a little or a one time thing Satan still wins a battle against us, and He laughs at us; but he knows that he himself was defeated by Jesus Christ a long time ago. If only we all could realize that these small cords can and will build up into a strong cart rope which will bind us and try to hold us under the curse of sin. In closing; let me say; "Let us all take heed to God's Holy Word. Amen!!!

The Man Of Sorrows
Psalm 22:24
"But when he cried unto him, he heard"
Never was a man so afflicted as our Saviour in body and soul from friends and foes, by heaven and hell, in life and death; Christ was the front runner in the ranks of the afflicted. But all the afflictions were sent in love. Justice demanded that Christ should bare the burden that He carried as a substitute for us. God loved Him, and in love God laid that load upon Him with the view of His Glory in heart and mind. Under all His woe's our Lord was honorable in His Fathers heart and eyes.
Every child of God should seek refreshment for his faith in this testimony of The Man Of Sorrows. What Jesus witnesses here is as true today as when it was recorded centuries ago. It shall never be said that any man's affliction or poverty prevented Him from being accepted at the Throne of Grace. The meanest person is welcome at mercy's door. "None that approach His Throne shall find a God Unfaithful or Unkind." No matter who you are or what your status is, it only takes you and you alone to seek The Saviour of this evil world; have no fear for the Comforter will be your guide and Jesus Christ will dwell in your heart today "If" you open the door to your heart and let him in. The Promise Is Ours
Genesis 22: 16-17
"By Myself have I sworn, saith the Lord,
for because thou hast done this thing
that in blessing I will bless thee"
By the discipline of obedience we get to the place where Abraham was and we see Who God is. We never have a real God until we have come face to face with Him in Jesus Christ, then will we know that "in all the world, our "God" there is none but Thee, there is none but Thee." The promises of God are of no value to us until by obedience we understand the nature of God.
We read Scriptures in the Bible hundreds and hundreds of times and they mean nothing to us, but all of a sudden we actually wake up in God's Word and understand. With Spiritual eyes we begin to see what God means; because in some particular case we have obeyed God, and instantly His nature is opened up. "All the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen." The "yea" must be born of obedience; When by obedience of our lives we say "Amen" to a promise, then that promise becomes ours. What a "Wonderful, Loving, Caring, and Merciful God we have. Let us not fail to give thanks to our Lord daily! Amen!!

Live To Thy Glory
Isaiah 1:19
"If ye be willing and obedient, ye
shall eat the good of the land"
That Scripture reminds me of all the times my earthly Father would tell me; "Now do good Robert and listen to me and you can have good things in your life. I must say my Father was always right. With that my Father and I formed a bond of trust that will last through eternity. He was always there to pick me up when I would fall, and put me back on the right path in life.
This is the same that God is saying here in this Scripture to Isaiah. However this is also a charge to all people of all nations to be Willing and Obedient. Here God covers both Earthly Good of the Land and the Heavenly good as well. First he tells us to be truly sorry for what we have done, and break off the practice of doing it. We must be doing the Good our Lord requires. When God said Willing; He meant; He wants us to consent to His authority, and to Him only; no one or nothing else should take his place. When God said Obedient; He wants us to heed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and give ear to the goings and comings of this world we live in.
When God said; shall eat the Good of the Land ; in translation it means to have goodness, beauty, excellence, cheerfulness, well being, good things, the best things, goods, wealth, property, happiness, prosperity fairness, graciousness. All these things we are promised here on earth in this life and when we enter into the Kingdom of God.
We are not perfect, just sinners saved by God's Grace through the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son. Even after many threads of transgression and though we have often dipped in sin, and backslide yet, His pardon of many will take out the stain. (Psalm 51:7). We will have all the happiness and comfort that we could desire, though life and death, good and evil are set before us. O' Lord incline us all to live to thy Glory. Amen!!!

Amen!!!

Conviction Brings Fourth Truth!
2 Corinthians 7:10
"For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation."
Conviction brings fourth truth. Why? Because conviction of sin is one of the rarest things that ever strikes a man. It is the opening of the true door of conviction; in which we find the understanding of God. Jesus said that when the Holy Spirit came He would convict of sin, and when the Holy Spirit rouses a man's conscience and brings him into the presence of God, it is not his relationship with men that bothers him, but his relationship with God.
The marvels of convection of sin, forgiveness, and holiness are so interwoven that it is only the forgiven man who is the holy man, he proves he is forgiven by being the opposite to what he was. Repentance always brings a man to this point: I have sinned. The surest sign that God is at work is when a man says that and means it. Anything less than this is a remorse for having made blunders, the reflex action of disgust at himself.
The entrance into the Kingdom is through the pains of repentance crashing into a man's respectable goodness; then the Holy Spirit, who produces these agonies, begins the formation of the Son of God in the life. The new life will manifest itself in conscious repentance and unconscious holiness, never the other way around. The very hard rock bottom of Christianity is repentance. In Biblical terms; a man cannot repent when he chooses; repentance is a gift of God. If we ever cease to know the virtue of repentance , we are in darkness. Let us examine ourselves ans see if we have forgotten how to be sorry.

Preserve And Trust
Psalm 16:1
"Preserve me, O God: for in
thee do I put my trust"
Preserve me, O God. David is not asking for deliverance from any special trouble, but generally he is praying to be defended continually by the divine promise and direction of God. David foresaw that he needed to be safeguarded by God, from his present time and until the end.
Let's stop and think; "Do we go to God only when we need help at a certain time in our life., or do we acknowledge ourselves to ever stand in need of God's help. A child of God should desire to be preserved at all times, in all estates, both soul and body.
Why do we pray to God? Because we trust Him! No one can truly call upon God unless they believe. "How than shall they call on him in whom they have not believed"? (Romans 10:14) By God's grace we pray to Jesus Christ to be our saviour, and we are assured that He is. However without "FAITH" we cannot truly call upon God.
Ever day we see men of this world that would rather prate like parrots than pray like Christians, at what time their minds and hearts are not with God; for they trust not in God they declare both by neglecting the lawful means, and also in using unlawful means. Some trust in friends; some just trust themselves and some build themselves up with authority.
It reads on our money; "In God We Trust" Well; let us show God our trust by our love for Him and one another. During showers of adversity, we shelter ourselves under the protection of the Almighty. And why? "Whoso dwelleth in the secret of the Most High, shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty." So who ever puts his trust in God shall be preserved. Let us not plead by merit, but by faith, knowing and teaching that if we come with like faith, we may obtain the like deliverance.

Broken But Comforted
Psalm 147:3
"He healeth the broken in heart
and bindeth up their wounds"
He healeth the broken in heart. When we read this Scripture we usually think of only the thing that is hurting in our heart's at this moment. Lets look into the broken heart that God heals. The broken heart is one whose heart is affected with the evil of sin, and weeps bitter tears on account of it; one who feels sorrow, shame and anguish, when he looks upon his past sinful life, and his own ingratitude the despite done by him to the striving of the Holy Spirit. His heart is broken when he considers the numberless invitations made to him in the Scriptures, all in which he has wickedly slighted and despised.
His heart is broken at the consideration of the love and compassion of the adorable Redeemer; the humiliation of His death; the devotedness of His life; the reproach, the indignity of His sufferings; and anguish of His death. His heart is broken when his conscience assures him that all this humiliation, this suffering, this death, was for him, who had so deliberately and repeatedly refused the grace which the blood and righteous of Christ has purchased.
It is the sight of Calvary that fills us with anguish of spirit, that overwhelms us with confusion and self abasement. While we contemplate the amazing scene; "we stand, we weep, we pray, we go to our knees, and cry out," "God be merciful to me a sinner"! "O wretched man that I am , who shall deliver me from the body of this death'? The broken heart is one that must seek help from God alone, and will not be comforted till He speaks peace to his soul. Are you broken in heart today? Seek Jesus Christ, believe in Him, ask Christ into your heart today. Amen!!

Faithful And Happy; Or Damned?
Romans !4:22a, 23a
"Hast Thou faith? have it to thyself before God.
And he that doubteth is damned"
Our convictions are born of faith in God's Word. Paul is giving us the principle that the Christians life is between the believer and his Lord, and that we must always be sure we are right with The Lord. The word "Faith" here means almost the same as "Convicting."
The word "Damned" has nothing to do with eternal punishment; it really is what we place our self with to be "Condemned." Because when we engage in practices with a doubtful mind we are condemning our self and those practices by our attitudes. For what ever we do that is not of faith is sin. Christian live by faith, "Faith cometh by The Word of God" so anything I do that cannot be backed up by the word of God is sin; because it would not be done by "Faith."
Here is a way to look at what we come up against in our christian walk with god. "If you feel it is wrong, don't do it." "If it's doubtful, than it's dirty as well! Would you drink something that had poison in it and would you doubt if it would kill you? No I don't think you would or I hope you won't. Yet many Christians carelessly engage in practices that even the world questions and still never stops to think; "If I am not sure that means I am doubtful about what I'm going to do? It could be sinful, I better pray hard and make sure I stay in God's will. Amen!!

Absolute Perfection?
James 2:10
"For whosoever shall keep the whole law,
and yet offend in one point,
he is guilty of all"
The mortal law does not consider us to be weak human beings. It takes no account of our heredity and infirmities, it demands that we be absolutely moral. The moral law never alters, either for the noblest or the weakest, it is eternally the same. The moral Law ordained by God does not make itself weak to the weak, it does not make our shortcomings less serious. If we do not realize this, it is because we are less than alive; for immediately when we become alive, life becomes a tragedy. "I was alive without the the law once; but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died." When we realize this, then the Spirit of God convicts us of sin. Until one get's there and sees that there is no hope, the Cross of Jesus Christ is a farce to him.
Conviction of sin always brings a fearful sense of the law, it makes a man hopeless; "sold under sin." I, a guilty sinner, can never get right with God, it is impossible. There is only one way in which I can get right with God, and that is by the Death of Jesus Christ. I must get rid of the ever lurking idea that I can ever be right with God because of my obedience. Which one of us could ever obey God to "absolute perfection?
We only realize the power of the mortal law when it comes with an "if." God never coerces us. In one way we wish He would make us do the thing, and in another way we wish He would leave us alone. When ever God's will is in the ascendant, all compulsion is gone. When we choose deliberately to obey Him, He will charge the brightest star and the last grain of sand to assist us with all His "Almighty Power!! Amen!!

Questions And Answers
Proverbs 3:6
"In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths"
We can grow by our "Questions" as well by our "Answers"
Here are some important questions we should ask ourselves:
1. What one decision would I make if i knew that it would not fail?
2. What one thing should I eliminate from my life because it holds
me back from reaching my full potential?
3. Am I on the path of something absolutely marvelous, or something
absolutely mediocre?
4. Does the devil know who I am?
5. Am I running from something, or to something?
6. What can I do to make better use of my time?
7. What do I need to forgive?
8. Would I recognize Jesus if I met Him on the street?
9. What is my most prevailing thought?
10. Can I lead anyone to Christ?
11. What gifts, talents, or strengths do I have?
12. What is one thing that I can do for someone else who has no
opportunity to repay me?
One important thing we must remember is that when we ask
ourselves a question, let's not forget to have in mind; not just
what Jesus would do, but what Jesus did do!!

Concentrate On The Right Things!
Galatians 6:14
"Save In The Cross our
Lord Jesus Christ"
If we want to know the power of God (ie), the resurrection life of Jesus, in our mortal flesh; we must concentrate on the right things; "What happen at the Cross, in the Tomb and at the Ascension in to Heaven. Instead of thinking of our Personnel interest, try thinking on God, His Son Jesus Christ and the tragedy, by which we as believers have eternal life. Instantly the energy of God will be in you. "Look Unto Me;" We must pay attention to the source and the energy will be there. The effect of the Cross is Salvation, Sanctification, and Healing; just to name a few.
We must Preach and Teach "Jesus Christ and Him Crucified." The Proclaiming of Jesus will do it's own work. If I talk my own talk, it is no more important to you than your talk is to me. If we talk the truth of God, He will never be a stranger to us. Amen!!
The feebleness of the churches is being criticized today, and the criticism is justified. One reason for the feebleness is that there has not been this concentration of Spiritual Power; We don't always think seriously about the Tragedy of Calvary or really understand it. Amen!!

Distraction And Separation
Psalm 123:3
"Have mercy upon us, O lord, have mercy
upon us: for we are exceeding
filled with contempt"
What we must beware of is not so much damage to our belief in God as damage to our Christian temper. "Therefore take heed to thy spirit, that ye deal not treacherously." The tamper of mind is tremendous in its effects, it is the enemy that penetrates right into the soul and distracts the mind from God. There are certain tempers of mind that we never dare indulge; if we do we will find they have distracted us from faith in God. When this happens our confidence in the flesh and in humane ingenuity takes over.
I wonder has any Christian not had a time were the Spiritual temper has been challenged. Of course some would say; "No I don't believe it has or I am not sure." Others might response with; "No it hasn't and it will not happen because my faith in God will never be distracted or separated. I would say you might want to think about your answer. Here I am talking about distracting and separating our faith away from God
"Beware of the cares of this world," because they are the things that produce a wrong temper in our soul. What an enormous power there is in simple things to distract our attention from God. Refuse to be swamped with the cares of this life. The next time you say; I am going to put my faith down just long enough to handle this problem; Remember, to guard your Spiritual temper, because any amount of distraction and separation from our God cause's damage to our soul. Let us keep our eyes on God and our Spiritual tempers will stay in check.

Fail At The Start; Fail At The Finish!
Romans 12:2
"Be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind"
Have you ever watched a race horse being trained how to enter the starting gate, and be under the riders commands, to be patient and wait for the start gate to open? Once the gate has been opened the horse is under the full control of it's rider. The best part is, the horse knows were he runs the race best at ( inside the middle of the pack, or outside the pack so he can run freely to the finish line. But of course he must listen to He's master in order to win the race. Because really the horse knows he has to run; but the rider will be his guide.
Our Christian service and personal dedication to the Lord is similar to the race horse and his rider. Here is why! If the race horse fails at the starting gate he will fail at the finish line. He might run the race but he won't win it. The Christian who fails is the one who first failed at the alter, refusing to surrender himself completely to Christ.
True dedication is the presenting of body, mind and will to God day by day. It is not just walking an aisle once! It is daily yielding your body to Him, having your mind renewed by the word, and surrendering your will through prayer and obedience.
Some Christians obey God because they know that obedience is good for them, and they fear chastening. Others obey because they find God's will acceptable. I obey God because He gave His Son to this world; "Jesus Christ, the one who carried my sins to His cross. Jesus also carried yours and the rest of the worlds sins as well. "For God first Loved Us," I will always obey and Love Him. Amen!!!

Right Zeal; Wrong Knowledge
Romans 10:2
"For I bear them record that they
have a zeal of God, but not
according to knowledge"
Paul was saying here that the Jews were expending time, money and energy to establish a right standing with God. They had plenty of zeal in a good sense, but their deeds were done in ignorance. Their faith turned them from simple faith to blind faith religion.
My question is to those who "Know of God;" are you headed in that same direction? I pray that your not. "Religious people" today are no different; they think God will accept them for their good works. Let me remind those "Religious people" that there are two kinds of righteousness: Works righteousness, from obeying the law, and Faith righteousness which is the gift of God to those who trust in His Son; Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Amen!!
So I ask you today; were is your zeal focused, and do you have the knowledge which enables one to avoid the lust of this world and the evil that surrounds it? You can know the true and faithful knowledge of God, only by knowing His Son Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord of all. I pray that you will focus your zeal toward Jesus today. Amen!!
