Consider Your Ways

                                                Haggai 1:5
                        "Now therefore thus saith the Lord of host;
                                         Consider your ways"

          This verse was a stirring challenge to the people to rebuild the Temple.  The people looked more to decoration of their own houses while doing nothing for God's  "house." This scripture is so important that it is repeated twice  "consider your ways"  (v.5,7).  This verse is a stirring challenge for us to maintain God's  "house"  today.
          This literally means to  "put upon your heart" that the first priority should be that God would be glorified, in fact this should be evident in the life of believers today; but is it? Get mad if you may; however I don't believe that we are any different than the people of Judah, except we have a big reason to want to glorify Our God.  He gave us grace;  that through the blood of His Son, "Jesus Christ" we can have eternal live.
          We all have been guilty of putting our own house before God's.  I'm saying; in helping build The Church, helping maintain The Church, and attending The Church when the doors are open.  All I can say is Oh! that one hurt, because If we would all be honest, we would feel a little guilty about now.  Our self-centered efforts cannot satisfy because there is no blessing from God.  Let's  "Consider Our Ways" and take pleasure in serving  "God"  instead of  "God" serving us.  Amen!

                                          May God Bless You
