A Look Inside

Luke 18:29-30
And he said unto them, "Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house,
or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time,
and in the world to come life everlasting."

Do we ever live in the present? Maybe we need to ponder on this for a while. Most of us spend our time with our mind on what happen yesterday and what we hope might happen today and tomorrow. SO HOW CAN WE LIVE IN THE PRESENT? By Faith In Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ! The first thing one might say is; "what will that give me?" The Answer; Is "A Look Inside Your Heart!" In other words there should be happiness; "In serving Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." However that can't happen with out the Pursuit of Holiness, and this requires vigorous effort. It allows no room for intolerance, or halfhearted commitment and no lazy eye or thought even toward the smallest sins.
Pursuit of Holiness demands the highest priority in  the life of a Christian, because to be holy is to be Christ Like, which is Gods goal for every Christian. Let us not forget that the Pursuit Of Holiness must be Anchored In The Grace Of God; if not it is doomed to failure. As we look at the worlds population today and I mean every human being on this earth, we must look at this the same way God does. God Looks at us in two categories "Sinners and Believers"! There is no in between!
Some think that the Grace of God and The Pursuit of Holiness is theatrical. And to some The Pursuit of Holiness sounds like legalism and man made rules. To others, Grace opens the door to irresponsibility, sinful behavior based on the notion that God's Unconditional Love means we are free to sin as we please. My Friends, an understanding of how grace and personal, vigorous effort work together is essential for a lifelong Pursuit of Holiness. And yet many believers do not understand what it means to live by Grace in there daily lives, and they certainly don't understand the relationship of Grace to Personal Discipline. Let me leave you with this to ponder on. Our Personnel Discipline reflects on our daily Discipleship fr God.
Amen!
