1 Peter 2:24
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed."
"If I do certain things, then I can get God to come through for me." Does people really think this way? Would you be less confident on a bad day than a good day? Would you find it hard to believe that God would Bless you and use you in the mist of a bad Spiritual day? If you answered yes to those questions you have lots of company among Believers. Is such thinking justified? Does God work that way? The answer to both questions is NO!
Have you ever felt like you had forfeited God's favor for a long or short period of time? If so did you feel like God would not use you during that time to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with someone "on your bad day?" My Friend, You're not by yourself. I believe we all have failed God at sometime or many times in our lives; by saying, I Am not worthy today, or I Am afraid I Will say the wrong thing.
So, what should we do when we have a bad Spiritual day feeling guilty and nothing is going right. My Friends, We must go back to the Cross and see Jesus there bearing our sins in His own Body. We must by Faith accept the blood of Jesus Christ that will cleanse our guilty consciences, "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" Hebrews 9:14.
Amen!
