Christ The True Wisdom

Romans 8:1

"Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding

put forth her voice"?

        Wisdom is personified. It is available to the simplest (Prov.8:2, 5). The description of Wisdom is no mere ideal of practical prudence and good sense, or no mere poetic personification of an abstract quality, but a prefigure, "distinctly" of him, who is the Wisdom of God, "Christ the Son of God." The open, bold, and public utterances of Wisdom are in happy contrast to the secret and stealthy enticements of evil conduct. So Christ, the true Wisdom, says, "I have spoken openly to the world."
        Wisdom  here is Christ, in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. It is Christ in the Word, and Christ in the heart. Not only Christ revealed to us, but Christ revealed in us.
