The Invitation Of A Lifetime

                                         Matthew 22:3
"And sent fourth his servants to call them
that were bidden to the wedding
                                   and they would not come"

God's invitation is not something to be tossed away.  God wanted to honor Jesus.  Many years ago His invitation went out to a needy world.  Your name is on the guest list.  You reading your bible makes it appear that you have taken advantage of that invitation; you have sat at the table of God's grace.  You have feasted with Christ, and you know what favor that comes your way, because you continually banquet with the King of Kings.
What about those who have not listened to His voice?  What about those who daily live outside of God's plan and the thousand excuses that they offer for their agendas?  Remember in the parable those who were invited to the wedding excused themselves from the requirement of God, when they chose their agendas over God's.  One had to take care of his farm, another to his business.  All the others seized the inviting messengers and beat or killed them.
How odd that the more things change, the more they stay the same.  Many people still today use their little agendas, their pitiful schedules and livelihoods to dismiss God's grand invitation as no big deal.  The sin of being lost rarely comes from clinging to some barricade to grace.  People are still lost because they still turn Jesus Christ and His invitation away!  The table is set!  On every plate is the guarantee of eternity.  Will you be dinning with Christ when He receives His Bride, "The Church", or have you not accepted your invitation?

Fulfilling All Righteousness

                                         Matthew 4:15
"Suffer it to be so now; for thus it
becometh us to fulfill all righteousness"

Jesus' simply said, "Let it be so now."  Then He added words that hint at the meaning of His baptism. "For thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness."  This is the only explanation the Gospels give for this strange baptism.  One thing should be clear.  Jesus did not come to be baptized because of any sin.  The others that were there on the banks waiting for John to baptize them, wanted forgiveness for the sins that weighed so heavily on their consciences.  Jesus, however, was as the first Christians declared, "in every respect; tempted as we are, yet without sinning" (Hebrews 4:15)
Jesus' was sinless.  He did not need to be forgiven.  What He meant when He talked to John about "fulfilling all righteousness" was simply, "I must do everything that God requires of everybody else."  Jesus became part of the people, humbly and quietly.  He did not stand apart from the human race.  Looking back at the life of Jesus from His baptism to His resurrection, it can be said that in His baptism Jesus took the way that would lead to the cross where He would die for the world.
Jesus' the Son of God knew what He was sent to do for the sins of this world.  His purpose here on earth was hide from human eyes.  Jesus loved us so much that He suffered all things for us through His Death on the Cross and defeated Death and Hell through His Resurrection and Ascension to the right side of God.  We must live our life as Jesus did. We must suffer things for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The road we must travel is not going to be easy for us, but we like Jesus must travel it with Hope and Faith in God and accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour.  He had to become a human being to make eternal life with God possible.  Eternal life has been bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ.  Amen!!

Being Ready

                                         Exodus 3:4
                                 "God called unto him
and he said, Here am I"

When God speaks, many of us are like men in a sound proof room, we only hear ourselves, and we give no answers.  Moses' replied to God with, "Here am I."  Being Ready, means a right relationship with God and a knowledge of were we are at present.  We are so busy telling God where we would like to go.  The man and woman who is ready for God and His work is the one who carries off the prize when the summons comes.  We wait with the idea of some great opportunity, something sensational, and when it comes we are quick to cry; "Here am I."
Being Ready, for God means that we are ready to do the little thing or the great big thing, it makes no difference.  We have no choice in what we want to do, whatever God's program may be we are there, ready.  When any duty presents itself we hear God's voice as Our Lord heard His Father's voice, and we are ready for it with all the alertness of our love for Him.  Jesus Christ expects to do with us as His Father did with him.  He can put us were He likes, in pleasant duties or in rough and hard duties, because the union is that of the Father and Himself.  "That they may be one, even as We are one."  Be ready for the sudden surprise visits from God.  A ready person never needs to get ready!   AMEN!!

Jesus' And The Law

                                         Matthew 5:17b
"I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill"

The people of Jesus' day had a yardstick by which they measured any one who taught the things of God. That yardstick as we well know was the "Law of Moses."  The question in peoples minds then was, "What was Jesus going to say about the law?"  The question in peoples minds of our time is, "Well what did Jesus really say to them?"  I can say without a doubt, "What Jesus said then still holds true today!"
In Jesus' day, religious leaders spent most of their time studying and explaining the laws of Moses. They trusted in the Law to show men how to earn salvation. They believed that God blessed those who kept the Law and punished those who broke it. They believed that a person could earn his way into God's Kingdom by obeying God's laws perfectly.
Jesus knew what question was on every one's mind, even His disciples: "Do you accept the Law of Moses?"  Jesus answered with a "yes" and a "no."  First He assured His followers that He had no intention of destroying the Law. He came to fulfill the Law. Not even a dot from an "i" was changed. Jesus came to fulfill the Law in Himself; that was Jesus' "yes" to the Law.
Today we must think of the "Law of Moses" as Jesus did.  The Law is not just rules written down in a book. Rather, the Law is a guide to the will of God.  Jesus Christ poured out His life's energy to seek and obey the will of God.  My friends that life's energy was the blood that washed our sins away!  AMEN!!!

Not In Spite Of But Through The Cross

                                          Acts 5:41
"And they departed from the council, rejoicing
that they were counted worthy to
                                 suffer shame for his name"

Not in spite of the Cross but through the Cross.  The ultimate aim of God in Christ was achieved as completely as it would have been had men followed Christ from the first instead of murdering him.  That is why we place the Cross in the very center of God's plan of redemption.
So, in the case of human suffering, God does not will it or desire it, but it will not defeat Him in His plan for the one's who suffer; and He has a plan for each one of us.  The fact that the suffering is allowed at all carries the guarantee that God, is far from being defeated by it because He can weave it into our life as though it never happened.  God can bring us, not in spite of our sufferings, but because of it, and His use of it, and our reaction to it, to the same place as we should have reached if suffering had never come our way; with gain instead of loss.  AMEN!!

Measure For Measure

                                        1 Timothy 6:20
Keep that which is committed to thy trust"

After I accepted the calling from God to preach the gospel, I wondered what I would do.  I knew that I had very little knowledge in His Holy Word.  I knew I loved to help and share with people.  So remembering the words of Paul to the church of Thessalonians, I formed in my mind "to share with all people the gospel as written by God, but also my own self" through dedication to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
When I began my journey years ago on what God had lead me to do, I had no ideal it would be as rewarding as it has been and as it will continue to be by the grace of God.  I realize that I am more spiritually alive than I could ever dream of being.  I have tried to give myself to all people in which I have came in contact with;  My faith in God as the Creator of life; My trust in Jesus Christ as the Way, the Truth and the Life, and interest in all as children of God, and my love for life.  Through all my travels with my Lord, I now have a clearer awareness of myself, God's purpose for my life and my relationship with Him.  When we serve Our God and Our Church it must be "Measure For Measure."   AMEN!!

Bondage To Sin

                                         Ephesians 3:2
"If ye have heard of the dispensation
                                     of the grace of God"

It is not the intention of the gospel to leave man in this predicament of sin.  It was not the church nor, God that invented the doctrine (sin).  Sin came through Adam and therefore when man is born into this world he is born a sinner.  This sin has grown up in us so strong that spiritually sensitive men have found themselves; with more insight they possessed, the more incapable their plight becomes.  We "know" the good,  and we are adequately aware of what our motives and actions should be; and yet something stronger than our own will prevents us from carrying out the right motives and right actions.  That' My Friends;  "is bondage to sin."
Don't worry!  It's not over yet for there is an end to sin.  We must be awakened to the full seriousness of our own guilt, and our own inability to overcome it.  We must know and look for and accept the only adequate remedy to this bondage to sin.  That my friends is the saving power of God's love and forgiveness in Jesus Christ.  Amen!!

Set Our Mind's On God

                                         Colossians 3:2
"Set your minds on things above,
not on things of the earth"

As we read God's word, "How reassuring it is to know that we don't have to meditate on whatever thoughts and images happen to drop into our heads each day;  we can make our thought 'Life" become whatever we want it to be by choosing to "set our minds" on the right things.  It is possible because God said so in His Word.
There are two perspectives through which we can view every situation in life.  One is the "heavenly" perspective that Paul exhorts us to set our minds on, and the other is the "Worldly" perspective that he warns us about.  We have the power to break away from the worldly perspective and into a heavenly one.
This is not always easy at first.  It takes commitment to change your mindset.  That is why it is so critical that we're spending time in God's Word daily, and meditating on the truth it contains, rather than the facts of our current circumstances.  We need to read His Word daily and keep it fresh in our minds so we can quickly recall these principles during difficult moments or challenging seasons.

Must I Behave To Be Saved?

                                         Romans 1:17a
"For therin is the righteousness of God
                                revealed from faith to faith"

"The just shall live by his faith."  These wonderful words describe how righteousness comes to our hearts, and how we are to behave once it does.  Faith is our proper response to the message of the gospel.  When the Word of God is mixed with faith in those who hear it, hearts, souls and minds are changed.  The message that Paul has given us is that God never asks men to behave to be saved.  He ask us to believe.
Faith in Jesus Christ saves a sinful soul.  Eternal life in Christ is the gift God has given through His Son, no matter who or what their situation in life might be.  The power of the gospel displays how God puts people in union with Him.  It is through faith from beginning to end.
Many people believe that righteousness  is by works, but men can never obey God's Law and meet His righteous demands.  Paul declared that the just are made alive, not by the things they do, but by the one in whom they believe.  It is faith, not works that saves our souls and brings the righteousness of God to our hearts.   AMEN!!

Don't Get Stuck In A Rut

                                        Ecclesiastes 3:6
"A time to get, and a time to lose,
a time to keep, and a time to cast away"

Our lives are full of things that we have said we we're going to do, (ie) get involved in a health program, starting a charity drive for the homeless, and spending more time with God on the thought of forgiveness that we all need to work on.  But what do we say; "I will start all these things tomorrow."  That seems to be our way out.  We need to confront head-on all things whether they are old or new and don't pull out that "I will do it tomorrow card."
Now that we have recognized the problem and decided to deal with, in our minds we have already dealt with it, and that is as far as it goes.  Why?  Because that is our mind set, if we say will we do something, therefore we have already done it.  No matter what our plan is in life, or what we wish to hold on to; at some point things must be removed from our lives.  Tomorrow becomes today and until we move forward from our yesterdays into today, we will never get to our future!  Don't get stuck in the rut  of yesterdays; God has a planned future for us all.  Look forward in Christ' and then we will know the time to get, to keep, to lose, and to cast away.  AMEN!!

The Door Is Open!

                                        Revelation 3:8
"Behold, I have set before thee an open
door, and no man can shut it:"

Our God has created us for fellowship with Him.  We have been designed to walk with Him and delight in His ways.  But some days, we choose not to do that.  We choose to go our own way.  We put that big sign up on our heart:  "Keep Out."  How foolish we can be at times?  God could just let us wander off and walk away, because of our big sign on our heart; but He don't.  God seeks after each one of us, and He sent His Son Jesus Christ, among us to call us back.  Back to a full, open and loving relationship with Him.
Help us Lord to respond to that call.  Help us in our daily walk to turn from ourselves and toward you.  It may be hard for us to understand this amazing gift of eternal life, when all we can do is touch it at the edges for now.  But where knowledge fails, faith and love succeed.  He gives us faith in His saving power; we thank You Lord, for bringing us "Back Home."   Amen!!

Christ' Power Over All

                                         Colossians 2:6
"As ye have therefore received Christ
Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him"

We see the power of our God daily in our life as well as others around us.  My friends I'm talking about God's, Secret Spiritual Power; "Jesus Christ."  The man that died for all our sins,so that through Him mankind could have union with the Father was again.  We must now and forever live in union with Him.  How can we do that?  A seed of faith in Christ was planet in you, it begin to grow in Christ by faith.  Now you must keep your roots deeply planted in Christ, and build your life with and around Him.
Jesus Christ will give us the wisdom to recognize false teachings from humans beings and the spiritual evils of this world.  In Christ we have divine nature in His humanity.  We have been given life in union with our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.  Let us love and be loyal to our Lord, not because, but "By and through Him we have the promise of life."  Let us all go and share our promise with someone in our lives today.    AMEN!!

Trust God

                                          Proverbs 3:5
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and
lean not unto thine own understanding"

We love security.  We spend countless time trying to achieve it.  We want to know where we are headed in life, like who we were going to marry, how many children we would have.  What career we would seek after.  Then of course we try to plan our children's life out for them.  From the time we wake up until the moment our heads hit the pillow at night, there are countless issues we could choose to worry about.  This my friends will only led us into a situation that is to big for us to handle.
In all the worry and planning of our life, what we are looking for is the truth in all things! In everything that consumes us and makes us anxious, the truth is right there with us. "God always shows Himself to be much bigger than any situation that you and I could aver face.  Therefore we must learn to substitute our anxiety with God's peace and this could ultimately only be achieved through prayer.  There is a direct correlation between our trusting god and our prayer life.  Prayer is our way to communicate with our father and an opportunity for us to bring our gratitude, needs and concerns before Him.  Prayer has no formal location or time-slot requirement!  "Simply Put, Prayer Is A Way Of Life."!!   AMEN!!!

Rejection Of God's Truth

                                         James 1:5
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask
God, that giveth to all men liberally"

In the beginning, God declared that man was created to reign with Him; however, man rejected God's truth and chose instead to believe Satan's lie.  Today, man continues to reject God's truth and offer of salvation through Jesus Christ.  Man chooses to trust in his own success and others opinions to give him a sense of self-worth, but the Scriptures clearly teach us that apart from Christ, man is enslaved to sin and condemned to an eternity in hell.
Since the fall, man has often failed to turn to God for the truth about himself.  Isn't it amazing that we turn to others who have a perspective as limited and darkened as our own, to help us discover our worth?  Rather than relying on God's steady, uplifting reassurance of who we are, we depend on others who base our worth on our ability to meet their standards.
Because our performance and ability to please others so dominates our search for significance, we have difficulty recognizing the distinction between our real identity and the way we believe; a realization crucial to understanding our true worth.  Our true value is not based on our behavior or the approval of others, but on what God's word says is true of us.   AMEN!!!

Chasing God

                                         Colossians 3:10
"And have put on the new man, which
is renewed in knowledge after the
image of him that created him"

Have you ever set and rubbed your hands across your head, and then set at your desk and start moving your fingers up and down like playing a piano?  In the past years I must say I have a lot!  My mind would be on Salvation, Church, Family, My Ministry and at the same time learning and growing in God. Then a thought starts to linger in my mind, as I am sure you have as well.  Maybe God wants more from me.  Maybe I am just doing enough to get by, but say I am going to do more. But for some reason the more never comes to life.  I am sure all Christians have felt that way at some point in their walk with God.  Maybe I'm not looking hard enough or listening long enough for God who found me and pulled me from sin and gave me Eternal Life.
So Myself I decided to chase God; after reading "One Man's Miraculous Journey In The Heart" By: Roger Huang.  Here is the inspiration that I received and used.  "Okay, God," I said out loud, my voice drifting in the wind.  "I know You are real.  I know you Love me and that You have saved me.  But I want more, and I want to give You more of myself.  I'm going to chase after You; Full-time, and I'm not going to hold back anything anymore."  Now there is a fullness in my heart as I stand and go forward in God's work.  It's official!  I'm going to chase after God with all I have.  "He's got me!
Does God Have all of you?  If you are going to chase anything in this world; chase God, He is real!
AMEN!!!

For We Are Made Free

                                        Psalm 73:26
"My flesh and my heart faileth, but
God is the strength of my heart
                                 and my portion forever"

Guilt is defined as a remorseful awareness of having done something wrong, to be at fault.  The Bible is full of examples of those who disregarded God in order to go their own willful ways.  Over and over again we read of their guilt.  Adam, Eve, Cain, Jacob, Saul, David, Solomon, Peter and Judas could begin the list of literally hundreds through Scripture.
The good news is we are made free from doubt, fear, worry and guilt through love, mercy and grace of God. "He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities, For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.  As a father pities his children, so the lord pities those who fear Him, for He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust" (Psalm 103:10-14).
Jesus told His disciples on one occasion if they had the faith of a grain of mustard seed, they could remove mountains.  The mountains of doubt, fear, worry and guilt can be removed based on our obedient faith and commitment to the truth of The Gospel of Jesus Christ.   AMEN!!!

Response To Unbelievers

                                         Luke 6:27
"But I say unto you which hear, love
                               your enemies, do good to
                                  them which hate you"

What about our response to unbelievers?  Although they haven't yet trusted in the cross of Christ for removal of their condemnation before God, Jesus was very clear about how we are to treat them.  In Matthew 22:37-39, He told His disciples to love the Lord your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and to love your neighbor (both believers and unbelievers) as yourself.
Christ didn't come to love and die for the lovely, righteous people of the world.  If He had, we would all be in trouble!  Instead, He came to love and die for the unrighteous, the inconsiderate, and the selfish.  As we grow in our understanding of His love for us, and continue to grasp that He has rescued us from the righteous condemnation we deserve because of our sins, we will gradually become more patient and kind to others when they fail.   It can be very helpful if we compare the failure or sin of others with our sin that Christ died to forgive:  There is nothing that anyone can do to us that can compare with our sin of rebellion that Christ has completely forgiven.  "That should give us a lot of perspective"!  AMEN!!!

No Greater Love !

                                         John 15:13
"Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his
                                     life for his friends"

At the top of human loving lies the atonement---the substitution sacrifice. "Greater love has no one than this, self-sacrifice for the salvation of another."
The cross was were God demonstrated this kind of love.  Jesus was not making an untried statement here.  He was about to act out the proverb.  History holds many of such self-sacrifice. For example, a mother gives her life for her child, and we still see that today.  This type of love marks out the gallantry of love for others.
Do not think that some gift or trophy is evidence of someones love for you.  In reality even an engagement ring will seem a shallow gift when laid alongside the cross.  The Bible tells us, "For herein is love: not that we loved Him first but that He first loved us.  A strange and empty felling can stalk our days when we forget that we have been loved by the life giver.  The cross can end that felling. Look! There! Were Christ died!  Who could ever behold Calvary and doubt that he or she is loved. Hold this in your heart, and meet Christ Today and let us walk together and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
AMEN!!

Royal Priesthood

                                         1 Peter 2:9
"But ye are a royal priesthood"

By what right do we become "a royal priesthood"?  By the right of the atonement.  Are we prepared to leave ourselves resolutely alone and to launch out into the priestly work of prayer?  The continual curiosity on the inside to see whether we are what we ought to be generates a self-centered type of Christianity; not the simple life of a child of God.  Until we get into a right relationship with God, it is a case of hanging on by the skin of our teeth, and we say; "What a wonderful victory I have got.  There is nothing indicative of the miracle of Redemption in that.
We must launch out in belief that the Redemption is complete, and then bother no more about ourselves, but begin to do as Jesus said; "pray for all men."  Pray on the realization that you are only perfect in Christ Jesus, not on the plea; "O Lord, I have done my best, please hear me."  How long is it going to take God to free the habit of thinking about ourselves?  We must get sick and tired of ourselves, until there is no longer any surprise at anything God can tell us about ourselves.  There is only one place where we are right, and that is in Christ Jesus.  When we are there, then we have to pour out for all we are worth in the ministry of our Lord.  AMEN!!

The Choice Is Yours

                                        Matthew 7:24
                          "Therefore whosoever heareth these
sayings of mine and doeth them"

As you recall, Jesus compares the people who were listening to Him to houses; some would build their lives on sand, some on rock (Matthew 7:24-27).  He tells them that those who hear Him and do not act upon what they hear are like houses built on sand.  But those who hear Him and act upon it are like houses build on a rock.  Since they all hear the same thing, the difference is not in the hearing, but in the acting.  Therefore, when the storm comes, one house falls and the other stands for one simple reason, "The Response."
Does your life seem like it never has any useful results?  If so, it's really nothing to be ashamed of.  God made us like that.  Clay can't shape itself; it needs a potter.  Colorful oils can't paint themselves; they need an artist. When ever God is shaping us and painting our lives, He tells us the truth.
Is your answer on the rock?  Or is it on the sand?  Well, depending on that answer, you'll have the answer for your future.  Are you ready to face the living God?  No matter how much time you have left; be ten years or ten months; the foundation of your life must be solid rock, or life will be trifling and frivolous.  AMEN!!

Lifeless Laws

                                         Romans 8:3
"For what the law could not do,in that
it was weak through the flesh"

I don't have enough fingers and toes to count how many times a big semi has passed me, and the pull of the draft felt like it was going to suck me under it. I would check my speed and I was at 70 miles a hour and these big trucks and other vehicles as well, passed me like I was sitting still.  Then I would say; "don't you people know the Law; the speed limit is 65 miles per hour?"  Laws are lifeless words in statute books.  They restrain only if power backs them up.
The same is true with God's commands. Fear of punishment or getting caught may check our actions.  But it takes a stronger force than that to make us want to obey.  That power comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  He has fulfilled the law perfectly. and by dying on the cross He paid the penalty for our breaking the law.  God can now declare,  "No condemnation!"  As we yield to Jesus, He fulfills the law in and through us by His Spirit.  And when we break it, His grace is available to restore and renew us.
The Law tells us exactly what God expects, and that drives us to our knees to ask for mercy.  But Christ renews and empowers us by His spirit so that we desire all the more to live by His laws. AMEN!!

Don't Hide In Weakness

                                          Leviticus 20:6
"And the soul that turneth after such as have
familiar Spirits, and after wizards, to go
whoring after them, I will even set
                                   my face against that soul"

The only thing to do is to repent.  Don't try to cover up anything.  If you have been tripped up on any line, confess it out, and then look to God to bring you to a place of stability of faith where your whole walk will be in the Spirit.  We all ought to have a clear conviction that salvation is of the Lord.
If the enemy can move you from a place of faith, he can get you outside the plan of God. The moment we fall into sin, divine life ceases to flow and our life becomes one of hopelessness.  But this is not, what God wants for any of us.  Take the place of knowing that you are a son of the Living God, and remember that, as your hope is set in Christ, it should have a purifying effect on your life.  My friends; "Let us stand with our Lord and have no part of false teaching's, and the thought that you can live have way between "Sin" and "Salvation" along with good works and faith that is not in Jesus Christ; except "when you need Him for just a little while."  "Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy: for I am the LORD your GOD"  (Leviticus 20:7)   AMEN!!

Being Christ Minded

                                        Philippians 2:5
"Let this mind be in you, which
                                 was also in Christ Jesus"

Our mind's are constantly running like a machine, or as we like to call it, "Thinking."  A lot of us like to start thinking and planning out our lives from; a day ahead, to a month, to a year.  Why do we plan everything out like this?  Is for enjoyment, or security, or just fells like something we must do?  As we make all these plans ahead are we seeking guidance from our Lord?  If not our road ahead could get rough and bumpy.
The Bible Say's; "Let this mind be in you, which was in Christ Jesus."  What does this mean?  it means to be like Christ.  We must not look on just our own things, but others as well.  "For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you (John 13:15).  "Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that ye should follow His steps" (1 Peter 2:21).  "He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also to walk, even as he walked (1 John 2:6).
Therefore my friends if you want to feel enjoyment, security, or when there is something you feel like you must do; then be "Christ Minded in all things.  If you are a Christian that should be easy to do.  If you don;t know Jesus Christ I pray You turn to Him today and ask for Repentance.  When God looks into your heart, He does not see your old sinful heart; He sees The Lord Jesus Christ.  AMEN!!

Protect Your Identity In Christ

                                    2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature old things
                              are passed away: behold all
                                   things become new"

Knowing our true identity is only half the battle; once we know it, we have to guard it.  In our world today identity theft has spread around the world.  Just by using your bank card, your phone and your computer, and now through your gmail, and email there are people out there waiting to steal your identity in just a few seconds.  Therefore we must go through certain steps to protect our identity.
In the same way, it is crucial we do what ever it takes to ensure we protect our identity in Christ.  "The Bible teaches us, "the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy."  That's why it's so important for us to study, learn and heed to God's Holy Word.  We must hold close to the scriptures and let Christ be seen in our daily lives.  It is one thing to carry your Bible around, but quite different to actually know the word of God in your heart, ready to use it during times of challenge or crisis.
If we're not careful to take the steps designed to protect our blood-bought identities, while we are busy moving at a fast pace and trying to have and do it all, we run the risk of the enemy stealing our true identity.  Though it's true that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy; he can only take from us what we allow him to take.  If we are confident about who we are in Christ, then nothing and no one can rob us that.  If our confidence is based on the wrong thing, we can often find ourselves floundering and no longer pursuing God's "all" for our life.   Amen!!

Seasons Of Life

                                            Psalm 71:6
"By thee have I been holden up from the womb:"

How ironic!  When we are young, we can't wait to grow up!  When we are old, we look back longingly to former years.  God intends that we joyfully take each season of life as it comes.  What ever the age, He imparts what we need to be all that we can be.  He ask us to commit our way to Him and to accept what He allows of struggle and what He provides of strength.
Why does God let us get old and weak?  Maybe it is because God planned the strength and beauty of youth to be physical.  But the strength and beauty of old age is spiritual.  We gradually lose the strength and beauty that is temporary so we'll be sure to concentrate on the strength and beauty that is forever.  And so we'll be eager to leave the temporary deteriorating part of us and be truly homesick for our eternal home.
Are you in life's springtime?  Trust God's timing to fulfill your dreams.  Are you in life's summer or autumn?  Face your daily challenges head on.  And if you feel winters chill, concentrate on knowing God better.  His presence will make every season of life one of strength and beauty.  AMEN!!

Livining In Uncertainty

                                         John 16:33
                        "In the world ye shall have tribulation;
but be of good cheer; I have
                                   overcome the world"

We should be more aware than ever of the uncertainty and volatile nature that defines the world we live in today.  We see it daily in the newspaper, or even when we watch the news broadcast.  We see a stumbling Government here in the United States; along with political unrest in many other nations around the world.  There  are global financial crises, environmental breakdown around the world. Then we must add to that; our own daily decaying lives, with our own private storms that we have to go through from time to time.
It would be great if we could pray the exact anointed pray, and then all at once everything around you would just fall in to place; but we all know there is no such prayer.  We all are going to be confronted with uncertain times, stresses, test and trials; it's actually a part of life that we must live.  Jesus told us in The Gospel of John; "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.  In the world ye shall have tribulation.  Notice that Jesus didn't say you might have problems, or you probably won't but just in case;  He said you will be challenged by storms of life.  Don't face the storms of life alone, give your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ and He will guide you through any and all storms of life.   AMEN!!!

No More Excuses!

                                        Romans 14:12
"So, then every one of us shall give
                                  account of himself to God"

Christians are not to act from mere emotion, but from settled inward convictions that are the result of prayer and study of God's Word.  There would be no disagreements if every Christian acted according to their conviction.  Someone once said that opinions are what we hold, while convictions hold us.  The stronger Christian is not to despise the weaker one for his immaturity; neither is the weaker one to judge his more mature brother.  God has received both in Christ; therefore we should receive each other.  Our life is to be directed by God, not by our own or other men's ideas or judgement.  A mature Christian knows why he does what he does.
"I'm living my own life!" is a statement no Christian ought to make; for we belong to the Lord, whether we live or die.  He is the Lord and we must live to please Him.  So often the Christian who has questionable practices in his life cannot honestly say that he practices them as "unto the Lord" for in reality, he practices them for his own selfish pleasure and completely ignores the Lord.  The Christian who observes a special day as unto the lord will be accepted by the Lord.  So my friend, on this day what "Excuses will you have for Almighty God?  I pray that you will have none!   AMEN
