Psalm 37:24
"Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down:
for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand"
Though he fall: That is; though we are sometimes disappointed; though we are not always successful; though we may be unfortunate; yet this will not be our final ruin. Falling here does not refer to us falling into "sin," but into misfortune, disappointment, and calamities. This portrays a Christian that is walking along on a journey, who stumbles, and becomes weak in Spirit. A representation of one who is not always successful, but who finds disappointment spring up in his path.
It is by no power of our own that we recover, but it is because, even when we fall, we are held up by an invisible hand; "The Hand Of God." God will not suffer one of His own to sink to utter ruin.
Amen!!
