Luke 7:23
"And blessed is he, whosoever
shall not be offended in me"
John was locked in a dungeon, shut away from reasoning and all continuity. When John first Baptized Christ, he had no doubt in his mind that Jesus was the Son of God. Now, the walls around him were solid and cold. Here where the sun seldom shined, his certainties strayed. He lived within the backward glances of all he could remember.
Doubt always plays the game of what if? Have you in some deep moment of spiritual depression played this game? What if I'm not really a christian? What if I was to young to know what I was doing when I invited Christ into my life? What if I have been too wicked for the grace of God to forgive me?
No doubt that John went through spiritual depression as any other human being. His thought of him being a forerunner to an impostor probably hurt him the most? Jesus didn't answer his question directly and He might not answer ours directly. But God has given us a Holy Bible filled with reminders on every page, in every chapter. People of God; It is time to proclaim the power of our living God! It's time to Claim our Nation back as "One Nation Under God"!!! "In God We Trust"!!! We are serving the same God that Abraham served! The same man that hung and died on a wooden cross for the world; Jesus Christ! The same holy spirit that was present at the baptism of Christ. The bottom line is, nothing has changed except our doubts and fears. So let's stop the "What If" and go with the "Promise That God Has Given Us, Jesus Christ"
May God Bless You
And Your Families
