The Foundation And The Builders

1 Corinthians 3:11

"For other foundation can no man lay than

 that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

        Paul was speaking from experience, for he was a foundation layer and was forever on the move. Except when he spent eighteen months in Corinth (Acts 18:11) and three years in Ephesus (Acts 20:31). There was a lot of ground that was waiting to be covered. There were many men who had not heard of Jesus Christ; and if the Gospel of Jesus Christ was to be preached; Paul could only lay the foundation and move on. Where ever Paul went he laid the same foundation. That was the proclamation of the facts about and the offer of Jesus. 

        My friends, it is only through Jesus Christ that we find, "forgiveness of sin" and "that we find strength for the present" and "hope for the future." This foundation was approved by the love of God, and made solid from beginning to end; through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Now we must build upon it with wisdom. Not with worldly wisdom, but with Godly wisdom!
