Let Go! Trust God!

                                                                   Psalm 32:8
"I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go"
"I will guide thee with mine eye"

First of all we must stop protecting ourselves. We lock not only the doors of our houses in fear, but our souls as well. We are not only suspicious of strangers, but we keep our friends at arm's length. We are afraid to let our souls play. We are cautious lest we be taken for fools. We are on guard least we be surprised. We keep the checkreins taut upon our souls lest they carry us beyond ourselves. We fear too much joy; and our laughter is uncertain; our affection hesitates.
We open our hand but we cover our heart. Our pride holds us back from life, because newness is strange to us. We are so anxious about the future we can't enjoy the present. We teach ourselves to focus on the out side of people, in hoping that their souls don't see ours. We love life, but if the truth be known, we all fear failure more, and that tends to make us refuse to venture out in life. Most of us, if not all are careful to do only what we have always done, because we know how to do it well; therefore we never change direction of the old for the new creation in God. Let's crawl out of our hiding places, "our self made tombs and prisons," because there is life out there.
Have faith in God and let life be free. Stop riding the brakes!  Our soul can't grow if we hold it down. The higher and more secure we build the barricades of care and caution for our protection,  the more closed and barren our life becomes.
