Power Of The Word

Hebrews 4:12 

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, 

piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, 

and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner 

of the thoughts and intents of the heart." 

   The Bible's worth is declared by most all. It has always had enormous value to God's people. The power of God's Word shows us His mercy toward us, and also His wrath. Keep in mind that the Bible is not a book of philosophy. However there is no discrepancy between ascertained facts of science and the Bible. The bible is not a book of history, but it's accurate when recording history. The Bible was given to man from God, revealing Jesus Christ, The Son of God, the only Savior. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,"  (John 14:6).

   The Word is Christ from Genesis to Revelations. The Word is a cleansing power, a power to keep from defilement, It will separate man from sin. "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart,"(Heb. 4:12). "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee," (Ps. 119:11).

    The Word is a storehouse of good things, wondrous things and truths are delights. The Bible is also a help in time of trouble. God's Word will never let you down. It will aid you when you are tempted with unrighteousness. It's A Saving Message, with confirmation from The Son of God our Savior Jesus Christ. 

   My Friends, The power of God's Word is a wonder, that the natural man will never understand. But the real wonder; however is, Why don't we make use of, in our daily lives. Faith comes by hearing. "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God," (Rom. 10:17). Therefore we must search the Scriptures. "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me," (Rom 5:39).
