Matthew 5:41
"And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile,
go with him twain"
The summing up of Our Lord's teaching is that the relationship which He demands is an impossible one unless He has done a supernatural work in us. Jesus Christ demands that there be not the slightest trace of resentment even suppressed in the heart of a disciple when he meets with tyranny and injustice. No enthusiasm will ever stand the strain that Jesus Christ will put upon His worker, only one thing will, and that is a personal relationship to Himself which has gone through the mill of His spring cleaning until there is only one purpose left; "I am here for God to send me where He will. Every other thing may get fogged in my mind, but this relationship to Jesus Christ must never become fogged.
If we are to be disciples of Jesus, we must be made disciples supernaturally; as long as we have the dead-set purpose of being disciples we may be sure we are not. "I have chosen you." That is the way the grace of God begins. It is a constraint we cannot get away from; we can disobey it, but we cannot generate it. The drawing is done by the supernatural grace of God, and we never can trace where His work begins. Our Lord's making of a disciple is supernatural. He does not build on any natural capacity at all. God does not ask us to do the things that are easy to us naturally; He only asks us to do the things we are perfectly fitted to do by His grace. AMEN !!!

Nothing Needed; But An Open Heart!
Acts 3:6
"And Peter said, Silver and gold have I none;
but such as I have give I thee:
Peter and John were helpless, and illiterate and they had hardly any education. But they knew Jesus. To them had come a wonderful revelation of the power of the name of Jesus. They had handed out the bread and fish after Jesus had multiplied them. John had set at the table with Jesus and often gazed into His face with pure love in his heart. Peter had often to be rebuked, but Jesus manifested His love to Peter through it all, because He loved Peter, the wayward one.
O' My friends we have an almighty, wonderful and loving God! I have been wayward, I have been stubborn, I had an unmanageable temper at one time, but how patient He has been. I am here to tell you that there is power in Jesus and in His wondrous name to transform anyone, and to heal anyone. If you will see Him as God's lamb, as God's beloved Son who had laid upon Him the iniquity of us all, if only you will see that Jesus paid the whole price for our redemption that we might be free, you, can enter into your purchased inheritance of salvation, of life and of power.
Poor Peter, and poor John! They had no money! But they had faith, they had the power of the Holy Ghost, they had God. You can have God even though you have nothing else. Even if you have lost your character, all hope and have nothing and are ready to throw in the towel; stop here and think about your life and were it is headed. If your not sure about your direction in life or feel as though you have been a failure to your family and loved ones; I ask you to re-read these short paragraphs and if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Saviour, invite Him into your heart today and enjoy a full and meaningful life with the power of the Holy Ghost which is your gift from God!! AMEN!!!

One Life To Live; "The Better Way"
Mark 1:15a
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand"
We all have heard or have been told to "Live For Yourself." If others live that way, what does that do to their relationship with you? Of course some people say, "I'm True To Myself." Okay; that's fine, but what if "Self" is a mess? The question to ask; is there something larger than oneself; something better, or someone really worth living for?
Many live for their dreams. But dreams fail, where do they turn then? If that doesn't work for you, you'll say, "I'll just follow my heart." The problem with that is; how can you follow a heart that is shattered? You'll find that your feelings become confused. Can we look beyond ourselves to something more dependable than being "Only Human"? Life spills away quickly and quietly like water. So what's the purpose to feed a body that just dies too soon? Is there more to reality than this surface view of life?
We are brought up to "Follow A Religion" therefore many of our choices are made for us. We are born into beliefs where we live and learn. Most of the time we haven't actually reached our own conclusions? In a world like that, how can we respect others beliefs. Who's beliefs are true or good? Is there a better way to live you live? Yes! There is a unique story about a better way. It is called "The Bible's Story" and it has the power to change your own story forever.

Faith In God Needs Understanding
Matthew 17:20
"Faith as a grain of mustard seed"
We have the idea that God rewards us for our faith. It may be so in the initial stages, but we do not earn anything by faith; faith brings us into right relationship with God and gives God His opportunity. God has frequently knock the bottom board out of your experience in order to get you in contact with Himself. God wants you to understand that it is a life of faith, not a life of sentimental enjoyment of His blessings. Your earlier life of faith was narrow and intense, settled around a little circle of experience that had as much sense in it, as it did faith. full of light and sweetness; then God withdrew His conscious blessings in order to teach you to walk by faith. You are worth far more to Him now than you were in your days of conscious delight and thrilling testimony.
Faith by its very nature must be tried, and the real trial of faith is not that we find difficult to trust God, but the God's character has to be clear in our minds. Never confound the trial of faith with the ordinary discipline of life. Faith in the Bible is faith in God against everything that contradicts Him; I will remain true to God's character no matter what He may do. "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him"---this is the main utterance of faith in the whole Bible.

Let Go!
Proverbs 3:5
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart,
and lean not unto thine own understanding"
First of all we must stop protecting ourselves. We not only lock our doors at night in fear, but our souls as well. We are so suspicious of strangers, we keep our friends at arms length. We are afraid to let our souls move. We think that we may be taken as a fool. We keep the check-reins taut upon our souls, so afraid they may carry us beyond ourselves. We fear joy; and laughter is fake. We open our hand but our heart is covered.
Our reputation teaches us to see nothing but the outside of people, afraid they will see our soul. We are careful to do what we have always done and know how to do it well, so we never break our old routine for the new creation in God. Let's Crawl out of these tombs and prisons, there is a world of light and and freedom waiting!
Have Faith in God and let life be free of all shackles. Stop riding the brakes of your heart. The soul will never grow, tied down. The higher and more secure we build the barricades of care and caution to protect ourselves, the deeper grows the grave we call our life!!

Spiritual Honor
Romans 1:14
"I am debtor both to the Greeks,
and to the Barbarians"
Paul was overwhelmed with the sense of his indebtedness to Jesus Christ, and he spent himself to express it. The great inspiration in Paul's life was his view of Jesus Christ as his spiritual creditor. Do I feel that sense of indebtedness to Christ in regard to every unsaved soul? The spiritual honor of my life as a Christians is to fulfill my debt yo Christ in relation to them. Every bit of my life that is of value I owe to the Redemption of Jesus Christ; am I doing anything to enable Him to bring His Redemption into actual manifestation in other lives? I can only do it as the Spirit of god works in me this sense of indebtedness.
I am not to be a superior person among men, but a bond-slave of the Lord Jesus Christ. "Ye are not your own." Paul sold himself to Jesus Christ. He says; I am a debtor to everyone on the face of the earth because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; I am free to be an absolute slave only. That is the characteristic of the life when once this point of spiritual honor is realized. Quit praying about yourself and be spent for others as the bond-slave of Jesus. That is the meaning of being made broken bread and poured-out wine in reality. Let us not seek "Honor" from Man! Let us seek "Spiritual Honor!"

A Mother's Confidence
John 2:5
"His mother saith unto the servants,
Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it"
What a way to kick off a Ministry! Having you mother asking you to help with a wine problem at a Wedding? Well it happen to Jesus. "They have no wine!" So Mary addressed her Son, expecting Him to do something. Mary didn't give Jesus much choice. Why did she insist that Jesus do this Miracle? Did she not want the Host to be embarrassed, because he ran out of wine? Was Mary convinced Jesus could perform a miracle, even though up to the time no one had seen Him do such a thing? Did she feel she would sin if she knew Jesus could do it, and did not ask Him to solve the problem? No matter what the outcome might have been, Mary took a hand in the situation, and told the servants; "Whatsoever He says to do, do it."
Perhaps the hole point of this event is about confidence in someone we know and trust, and believe in as well as a Mother's confidence in her Son Jesus. Mary knew Jesus was capable of meeting all kinds of needs. This might not have been the greatest of all needs, but Mary was sure that Jesus was interested in people's little problems as well as their big crisis. Confidence in Jesus! How is Yours?

Hold To Your Honesty
John 1:19a, 23a
"And this is the record of John: He said, I am the voice of one
crying in the wilderness"
When people are thinking of you in great ways, it is difficult to reply to them in small ways. Praise has a way of breaking down our fragile honesty. Those who come to hear John, placed him in the ranks with the timeless Jews of Judaism. Surly he was tempted to know he could claim to be so much more than he was. A part of his greatness was knowing who he was. Jesus said; "that among all those born of woman, none was greater than John."
We who speak and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ should have no desire of any kind of fame, in serving Our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ! We must remember who we are in terms of were God called us to be and what God called us to do. We are sinners saved by grace; therefore there is nothing to be praised for, except that we are brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. No matter how big your church may be, or how great a singer you are, or how well your Ministry is known around the world; Remember what John said: "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness make straight the way of the Lord.
My friends; we must learn to see ourselves in terms of our relationship with God. We want to be a person who understands what God expects of us and lose our identity within our calling. To claim to know the Lord and than seek my own fame is to miss the point, of being a voice for God. AMEN!!!

What Part Are You?
Proverbs 1:32
Minister: Robert A. Lail Sr.
"The prosperity of fools shall destroy them"
God made a way for all to have life eternal. The way is simple, but the human mind is dumb to it. We make it hard within ourselves to understand the "True" and "Pure" Grace of God along with the Blood Atonement of Jesus Christ. There is only one path in this life that you can walk, and that path you must choose. There are two paths at time of death, "Eternal Life" or "Eternal Death." That path will already be chosen for you, and by you from the path you chose while on earth.
Are you a part of what God is going to destroy; or a part of what God is building up. God is building His Kingdom one soul at a time. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as Saviour, His Kingdom grows. There are some that might say; "Well how is that building the kingdom of Heaven. The answer to that is; The Kingdom of Heaven has already been established. We as disciples of Christ spread His Gospel and every time we witness a seed is planted. When a seed is planted in hearts, God's way it is nurture by the Holy Spirit and lead to Christ and added to the Kingdom.
If you are not part of God's church and are not helping to build the Kingdom, and worship our Lord and Saviour, and are not excited about having eternal life with Your saviour in His Kingdom? That makes you a part of what God is going to destroy. So I ask you which are you part of: The Destruction of this evil world; Or the building of the Kingdom of Heaven where there will be eternal life.. AMEN!!

Keep Moving Forward With God
2 Peter 1:5
"And beside this, giving all diligence
add to your faith virtue, and
to virtue knowledge"
In the Matter of Drudgery. You have inherited the Divine nature. says Peter (V-4), now screw your attention down and form habits, give diligence, concentrate. "Add" means all that character, means. No man is born either naturally or supernaturally with character, we have to build character. We are not born with habits, we have to form habits on the basis of the new life God has put into us. We are not meant to be illuminated versions, but the common stuff of ordinary life exhibiting the grace of God. The greatest hindrance in our spiritual life is that we will look for big things to do, without thinking how important the little things in our spiritual life are.
There are times when there is no illumination and no thrill, but just the daily round, the daily task. Routine is God's way of saving us between our times of inspiration. Do not expect God to always give you His thrilling minutes, but learn to live in the power of God through all you ups and down's of your spiritual life. If I do my duty, not for duty's sake, but because I believe God is engineering my circumstances, than at the very point of my obedience the whole superb grace of God is mine through the Atonement. AMEN!!

Who Gave You Authority
Mark 11: 28
"And say unto him, by what authority
doest thou these things"?
Can you believe that someone asked Jesus, "Are you licensed." Were did you get your preaching degree? With all your advanced theological degrees? Who do you represent? The Pharisees could not imagine Jesus being ordained merely by the sun and the fields.
How artfully Jesus turned the tables on those who worried about His credentials. "What about John's preaching?" He asked, "Was it from God or man?" Everyone knew that John had been a jungle preacher, but the fiery integrity with which John spoke concerning the Kingdom of God caused everyone to believe, John was a prophet.
There is nothing harder on regarded theologians than to see a young preacher who they consider an undereducated show off, drawing big crowds. Jesus was divine authority who needed no earthly certification. He was the Son of some one very important. Jesus' authority reminds us that the primary credential for every preacher is not as much an ordination certificate as is the call of God. A preacher does not preach because they have been certified, but because they have been called of God purpose to preach. There is nothing as great as a God-called person who is well educated. only God's certifies a person to do the Kingdom work. Only a God-called person changes the world. Amen!!

The Year The Kingdom Of God Began
Luke 3:23
"And Jesus himself began to
be about thirty years of age"
The Gospels rarely mention how old Jesus was when He experienced the various events of His life and Ministry. Luke tells us that Jesus was thirty years of age. The only thing different about that year is this! That year the Kingdom of God began. It began quietly like a lump of yeast in a measure of meal. A thirty-year-old carpenter showed up at the Jordon River and was baptized.
The mystery of why Jesus waited until He was thirty is still unknown today? The best guess is that Joseph's early death left Mary with a house full of of young children. Jesus being the first child took over the responsibilities of the care of His Mother Mary, and His siblings, by working as a carpenter as He was taught by Joseph His Father.
Perhaps the most important thing to take from Luke 3:23 was not how old Jesus was but that he placed family in such a high priority. He would not abandon His mother with no means to be able to support His siblings. Does this mean that Jesus put aside God's Kingdom while he took care of the family? No! Apostle Paul said that Jesus came to earth when the time was right (Gal 4:4). This can only mean that Jesus didn't postpone the Kingdom until His family was cared for, but that a part of God's plan for the ages included His family.
Just as Christ' time was marked; it is good to mark events that change our world as well. Today; make a habit of measuring the footprints of Christ in your life. When were you saved? Was it your twentieth year? Was it your sixteenth year? When did Jesus come to you and give you His exact calling for your life? Did you mark down the date? We all should be recording the events in our New Birth. Why? Because, The acts of God in your life are the footprints of His Son, Jesus Christ. Why not determine today, that you will keep a journal. Give It a Title. My Journal is Titled; "The Footprints of Christ In My Life." Just writing and thinking where you were and where you are now will make you shout with Joy!! AMEN!!

Jesus; Is The Bond-Slave Breaker!
Romans 6:16
"His servants ye are to whom ye obey"
The first thing to do in examining the power that dominates us is to take hold of the unwelcome fact that we are responsible for what ever is dominating us. If we are a slave to our self, we are to blame because at a point somewhere in our lives we yielded to ourselves. Therefore if we obey God we do so because we have yielded ourselves to Him.
There is no power in the human soul that can break the bondage of things formed by yielding. Yield for one second to anything in the nature of lust (remember what lust is: "I must have it at once," whether it be lust of the flesh or the lust of the mind); once you yield, and though you may hate yourself for yielding, you are a bond-slave to to that thing. The is no release in human power at all, but only in Redemption. You must yield yourself in utter humiliation to the only One Who can break the dominating power.; The Lord Jesus Christ.
Some people will say, "Oh, I can give that habit up when I am ready it will be easy." You can not, you will find that the habit absolutely dominates you because you yielded to it willingly. My friends, yielding to Jesus will break every form of bond-slave in any human life. AMEN!!

The Hand Of God Is Being Lifted
Jeremiah 8:15
"We looked for peace, but no good came;
and for a time of health, and behold trouble"
We can see the hand of God being lifted up against this evil world and it's inhabitants. And when God appears ever thing against us will bring, Arousing fear, dread, alarm and defeat; as well as Inspiring awe, admiration and wonder. But then; We hear these same cry's over and over again! "Is there no medicine strong enough to fix this sick and dying Worldly Kingdom? Is there no skillful hand to apply the medicine? Yes!! God is able to help and to heal all; therefore this present moment should be seized. As Salvation can only be found in The Lord Jesus Christ.
We have God's written Word, as given by the Holy Spirit. Let's attend to God's Written Word and enjoy God 's abundance of grace by sharing and helping others. We must show them how to walk away from destruction or failure , while silencing their fears with the Word Of God. God is waiting to help and to heal and Jesus Christ has covered all sins of this world. I pray today, if you are unpardoned and unchanged, that you will come to know Jesus Christ and be saved. AMEN!!

That Which God Has Commanded, "Hearken"
Jeremiah 7: 28
"This is a nation that obeyeth not
the voice of the Lord their God"
God shows us daily that obedience is required of us. How does God show this to all people at the same time? The same way He did when He brought His people out of Egypt. That which God commanded was, "Hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God!" Therefore if we do not hearken unto our God and obey Him and believe in The Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we will be separated from God and all things of God.
If we make sin our place we shall be destroyed. Those who will not by the grace of God except Jesus Christ as their Saviour will be deprived all the riches and glory of Heaven. How many ruin their health and property without complaining when engaged in Satan's service? As true believers of Jesus Christ we must warn non-believers, that even after death evil pursues sinners.
Let us not think that the sacrifice of Christ lessens our obligation to obey. If we do, then we understand The Gospel Of Jesus Christ as little as the Jews understood the laws of God. The heart is the place in which God has chosen to put His name, but without Christ in our heart', sin can and will take the innermost and uppermost place in our heart. Let us not pollute the temple of our Lord.

Casting Your Lot, For The New World
Matthew 3:11
"He shall baptize you with the
Holy Ghost, and with fire"
Jesus and John the Baptist were more than earthly kinsmen. They were related in the spiritual movement of God himself. John came saying, "Be baptized for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand!' What he really meant was, "Get clean from the inside out, for the Kingdom of god is going to require clean living and holy purpose." Jesus came saying, "The Kingdom of god is within you! Now, through your cleansed lives, the fire and energy of eternity have fallen upon the earth."
So fire and water; fire for the purpose of God and water for baptism came in together. John's baptism was only immersion in water. This outer symbol made it clear to everyone who you baptized that you were casting your lot with the new world; "The World with God!" John's baptism made a clear statement that you were "cleaning up your act" to stand for God's values and sanctified living. But remember; baptism is not the key to the gates of Heaven! Only through Jesus Christ can we enter through and have life eternal. We must willing except Jesus Christ as our saviour before God will except us. AMEN!!!

U-Humbled Hearts Can Be Improved On
Jeremiah 4:3
"Break up your fallow ground,
and sow not among thorns"
An U-Humbled heart is like untilled ground. It is ground, (heart) that can be improved on. It is our ground given to us by God; but it is fallow; ( plowed but unseeded). It is over grown with thorns and weeds, (born in sin and filled with corruption) the natural state of an unclean and corrupt heart. Therefore we began depending on God. He is Lord an only through His grace and salvation from sin through the Blood of Jesus Christ can we be saved from eternal damnation.
Many times over we try justifying our troubles and judging one another for our sins. we can not put blame on anyone but ourselves. Why? Because God gave His Son for our sin debt! True penitents will call sin shame, even the sin that brought us most pleasure. True penitents learn to call sin death and ruin. Finally when mankind stops harden themselves in sin, contempt and misery and understand that he who covers his sins will not prosper, but he that willing confess his sins and forsake them, shall find mercy. Sin must be put away out of the heart, if not it will not be put away out of God's sight; because our heart is open before God. Amen!!

Truth Is To Find A Home In Jesus!
John 18:37
"Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice"
Jesus is a King, and the King of truth! Those who desire the truth therefore consider Him their King. John used this word truth many times in connection with Jesus and the salvation He came to offer. Why truth? Perhaps because the world offers so many disappointing philosophies, that leads only to the blindness of religious confusion.
Seeing the large number of cults and leaders who bring them together causes us to wonder, "Is there no limit to which people will go to seek or even buy from these peddlers of mysticism? The forces of New Age and mind-bending cults, are all evidence that our age as never before is dying to believe something, and I mean just anything. What He says is not only truth but also unchanging reality. His truth contains the only meaning that in the end does not disappoint.
What about you? Where do you go each time you are caught up in the struggle for who you are or why God brought you into the world? Do you retreat into His unchanging reality? If so, celebrate Jesus, the King of truth and let the world see the joy of Jesus in your life. Why? Because; He who called you to be His servant will fill you with the very kind of truth He is. That kind of truth will keep your identity in line with His purposes and others will see how Great a God You have and they will want to serve him as well. AMEN!!

God's Application Of Correction
Jeremiah 2:19
"Thine own wickedness shall correct thee,
and thy backsliding shall reprove thee:"
Is the soul of man a slave unto sin? No! It is not; however we bind our soul's liberty, and enslave it in lust and passions. When this happens we destroy the glory and strength that God has bestowed on us. Than shortly after the soul wonders and begins departing from the Lord. "God have mercy on our wondering souls."
God gives us a way to correct this and His application is this; "Repent of thy sin, that thy correction may not be thy ruin." What do we as Christians want to dabble in forbidden pleasure's or go on pursuits of covetousness of sin. Mankind is oftentimes as much under their unbridled desires and sinful lust as a wild beast.
Here again we see God's application to this problem at work once more. He says; "and thy backsliding shall reprove thee." The Lord warns us and tells us not to weary ourselves in pursuits which only bring distress and misery. We must acknowledge and except the mercy of God, and believe that to be sufficient for the pardon of our sins. We must not neglect the grace of God, but believe that His grace is sufficient to subdue our corruptions, no matter how long or strong they might be.

New Year; Same God!
Jeremiah 31:1
"At the same time, saith the Lord, will
I be the God of all the families"
Here we have the promised Saviour along with God's care over the church. When we are broken and low in Spirit, it is good to remember that we have peace and prosperity in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is hard at times to change a frown to a smile; yet through the grace of God, we know that it can be changed, because of the everlasting love of God.
When we praise God for what He has done and will do for us,we must not forget to call upon Him for the favors of His church needs. In this New Year; when the Lord calls upon us, we must not turn away and brush Him off. For He that calls us, will help us, strengthen us and guide us through our callings. My friends, "Let's get that everlasting hold on God in 2014 and with true dedication, serve our Living God with a pure Heart. Amen!!!
