He's Alive

Matthew 28:6
"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.
Come, see the place where the Lord lay."

As we read this story of the first two people in the world to be confronted with the fact of the empty tomb and the Risen Christ, three things spring out at us. We are urged to believe:  Something like this is hard to believe, and to good to be true. But the Angel reminded them and us as well of the promise of Jesus. It was confirmed by the empty tomb. However; it is shameful, that still today, so many people feel that the promise's of Christ is not true. "We can take Christ at His word and believe or spend eternity in Hell, that's the bottom line!"
We are urged to share. When we ourselves have discovered the fact of the Risen Christ, our first duty is to proclaim it and to share it with others. "Go, tell!" Is the first thing that comes to the man who has himself discovered the wonder of Jesus Christ.
We are urged to rejoice. The Risen Christ, met His disciples saying, All hail.  And  they came and held Him by His, feet and worshiped Him. "They Rejoiced!" The man who has met the Risen Lord must live for ever in the joy of his presence, from which nothing can part him any more.
My Friends, On this Easter Holiday, Let us not forget the what and why of our rejoicing. I know there is decorations of Easter in most of our yards and a lot of Cross's being displayed. And with this COVID-19 it might not feel like it usually does when we celebrate our Risen Lord. But the fact is, nothing is gonna change my heart on this day. Because this day is the day we celebrate our freedom from the second death through our Risen Lord!
Amen!

Happy Easter
