Does God Bend His Ear To You?

1Peter 3:12
"For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears
are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord
is against them that do evil."

That my friend is a question that you, yourself should answer. But I ask you not to answer until you have read this Devotional Study.  Let us see what God's word tells us about, who He hears and who He don't. Then we will find out why? God is sovereign and can choose to answer any prayer He sees fit. But Scripture clearly indicates that God does not listen to or answer every prayer. In fact, Scripture gives us reasons for unanswered prayer.
God hears every person that calls upon Him and those who pray in Jesus name. God don't answer prayers of those who: (1) Who have personal and selfish motives. "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts," (James 4:3). (2) Who regard iniquity in their hearts. "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:" (Ps. 66:18). (3) Who remain in sin. "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear," (Is. 59:2). "Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth," (John 9:31).
    (4) Who offer unworthy service to God. "Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible. And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts. And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts. (Mal. 1:7-9).
    (5) Who forsake God. "Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins. Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good. When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence, (Jer. 14:10-12).
    (6) Who reject God's call. (Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:  (Prov. 1:24-25, 28).
Amen!
