Dusted Or Cleansed

Psalms 19:7
"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul:
the testimony of the LORD is sure,
making wise the simple."

David only had a very small part of the Scriptures, if a fragment, and that being the darkest and most historical portion, "be perfect;" what must the entire volume be? How much more perfect is the Bible which contains the clearest display of "Divine Love," and gives us a clear vision of "Redeeming Grace." There are no redundancies and no omissions in the Word of God or in the plan of Grace. So why do men try to paint this lily of the valley and try to gild this refined gold? The gospel is perfect in all aspects, and perfect as a whole. It is a crime to add to it, treason to alter it, and a felony to take from it.
The effect of the word of God is to turn the man to himself, to his God, and to holiness; and the turn or conversion is not outward alone, "it's the soul" is moved by the Spirit of God and renewed. The means of conversion of sinners , is The Gospel Of Jesus Christ. His Life, Death, and Resurrection, which is the Gift of God. The more closely we stay to it in our ministry the more likely we are to be more educated, and a stronger mouth piece for God.
It's God's Word and not man's comment on God's Word, that makes mighty souls in God's Army. When the law drives and the gospel draws, the action may be different but the end is one, for by God's Spirit the soul is made to yield, and cries, "Save me and I shall be saved."
My Friends, We must go on to prove its certainty by experience. The perfection of the gospel converts, but its sureness edifies; if we be edified, we must not stagger at the promise through unbelief, for a doubted gospel cannot make us wise, but truth of which we are assured will be our establishment.
Amen!
