Hold To Your Honesty

                                      John 1:19a, 23a
"And this is the record of John:
He said, I am the voice of one
                               crying in the wilderness"

When people are thinking of you in great ways, it is difficult to reply to them in small ways.  Praise has a way of breaking down our fragile honesty.  Those who come to hear John, placed him in the ranks with the timeless Jews of Judaism.  Surly he was tempted to know he could claim to be so much more than he was.  A part of his greatness was knowing who he was.  Jesus said; "that among all those born of woman, none was greater than John."
We who speak and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ should have no desire of any kind of fame, in serving Our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ!  We must remember who we are in terms of were God called us to be and what God called us to do.  We are sinners saved by grace; therefore there is nothing to be praised for, except that we are brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.  No matter how big your church may be, or how great a singer you are, or how well your Ministry is known around the world;  Remember what John said:  "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness make straight the way of the Lord.
My friends; we must learn to see ourselves in terms of our relationship with God.  We want to be a person who understands what God expects of us and lose our identity within our calling.  To claim to know the Lord and than seek my own fame is to miss the point, of being a voice for God.    AMEN!!!

                                   May God Bless You
