John 14: 23
"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a
man live me, he will keep my words:
and my father will love him"
Have you ever said to a loved one, "I don't understand you, but I love you." To be honest, this is sometimes true in our relationship with Jesus. We don't always understand Jesus, either. But we love Him., and trust His wisdom and judgement. Studying His words helps to remove whatever blinders we happen to be wearing on any given day (ie) prejudice, willfulness, self righteousness; anything that keeps us from loving and better understanding others.
We are reminded again and again that Jesus deals not in generalities but with specific individuals. Each face in the crowd was and is a distinct and unique human being to be healed or forgiven or challenged, according to need and especially to the intent of the heart. We cannot look into the heart of another as Jesus does, but with His constant help we can, we have and we are learning to love others and to better understand them. Let us open our eyes and our ears, our hearts and our minds so that we may become better disciple's of Jesus Christ. Amen!!
May God Bless You
And Your Families
