Exodus 19:5
"Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant,
then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above
all people: for all the earth is mine:"
This is not in anyway one particular favor, but an expression that was inclusive of all happiness, that He would be to Israel a God in covenant, and they should be to Him a people. God also called the Gentiles to be a peculiar treasure: not that God was enriched by them, as a man is by his own treasure, but God was pleased to value and esteem the Gentiles as a man does his treasure.
My Friend, We are all precious in God's sight. He takes and puts His children under his special care and protection, as a treasure that is kept under lock and key. God dignifies His children above all people, as a people devoted to Him, and to His service. I leave you with this question. Are you one of God's Treasured Possession's?
Amen!
