Mark 6:36
"Be not afraid, only believe"
When Jairus was with Jesus someone came from the rulers house and said; Thy daughter is dead: why trouble Jesus to go to her. Some may believe that Jairus hesitated about having Jesus to go on? But Jesus spoke as soon as he heard their words; "Be not afraid, only believe." We all have as much occasion for the grace of God and the comfort of His Spirit in our lives for prayers of our Ministers and Christian friends, when sickness and death is in our homes.
Faith is the only remedy against grief and fear at times like these. Jairus believed in Jesus and he feared not, and Jesus raised the dead child by the power of His word. Such is the Gospel call to those who are by nature dead in trespasses and sins. For it is by the word of Christ that Spiritual life is given.

Power That Can Set You Free
Mark 5:13
"And forthwith Jesus gave them leave.
And the unclean spirits went out"
This man that was in the mountains, and in the tombs was filled with unclean spirits. There was so many his name was Legion. The devils knew who Jesus was, and what He was going to do; so they ask Jesus to send then into the swine so they would not be sent out of the country. Jesus gave them leave, but it was not freedom, for the devils could not control the swine and they were drowned in the sea.
Openly willful sinners are like this madman. The commands of God's law are as chains that restrain sinners from their wicked courses; but they break those bands in sunder; and this is evidence of the power of the devil in them. A legion consisted of six thousand. What multitudes of fallen spirits there must be, and all are enemies to God and man.
Many are they that rise up against us. We are no match for our spiritual enemies, in our own strength; but in the Lord, and in the power of His might, we shall be able to stand against them. When the the transgressor is delivered by the power of Jesus from the bondage of sin, he will gladly sit at the feet of His Deliverer.

Let The Light Of Jesus Shine In You!
Mark 4:21
"Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel,
or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?"
These declarations were intended to call the attention of His disciples to the words and the work of The Gospel of Jesus Christ. By this Jesus was telling them that they were made able to instruct others in the word. Jesus compared them as being candles that are lighted, and not covered, but place on a candlestick, to give light to the world.
The Great Commission that is written in all four Gospels, and The Book of Acts; was given because of the unbelief and hardness of hearts. Even after Jesus had risen and had been seen they still did not believe. The Great Commission was given to all who believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and believe on Him. "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour; you are now as a candle that is lighted, not to be covered. Let your "Light Shine" and go preach The Gospel Of Jesus Christ to the world.

A Window And A Basket
2 Corinthians 11:33
"And through a window in a basket was I let
down by a wall, and escaped his hands"
Apostle Paul gives an account of his labors and sufferings; not out of pride or vain-glory, but to the honor of God, who enabled him to do and suffer so much for the cause of Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:22-33). It astonishes us to reflect on the account of his dangers, hardships, and sufferings, and to observe his patience, perseverance, diligence, cheerfulness, in the mist of all these trials.
Do you see what little reason we have to love the vain and plenty of this world, when this blessed apostle felt so much hardship in it. Our up-most diligence and services appear unworthy of notice when compared with his, and our difficulties and trails are nothing compared to his. This should lead us to inquire whether or not we really are followers of Christ.. Here we can see Paul's patience, courage, and firm trust in God. We must learn to think less of ourselves; and we should always keep the truth, as in God's presence. We should refer all things to His Glory, as the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed for evermore.
Paul's escape was through a window and a basket with the help of his fellow man. My friends; Our window and basket to escape from this sinful world and and the power of Satan; is through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Meet Christ today and, "He shall set you "Free!"

The Marriage Bond, A Grace Of Life
1 Peter 3:7
"Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge,
giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and
as being heirs together of the grace of life
that your prayers be not hindered"
There is and has been a lot of controversy about women in the church about how they should dress, and how they should conduct themselves. Very seldom do we hear any thing about men, except when The Minister of the Church does something wrong,or something that is not agreed upon. To God the Marriage bond is very important. Both have the same responsibility to the marriage in or out of Church. The only difference is that their responsibility's are carried out different.
Let me start this way. The wife must discharge her duty to her own husband, though he obey not the word. Each day we see how narrowly evil men watch the ways and lives of the Christian Church. Christians should take care that all their behavior answers to their profession. But how few know the right measure and bounds of those two necessaries of life, food and raiment! Unless poverty cuts us short, and we all desire something beyond what is good for us. However some of us are more worried about our state of being, than the lowliness of our mind; and many will lavish time and money away upon trifle things.
The apostle directs Christian females to put on something that is not corruptible, that will beautify the soul and the grace of God's Holy Spirit. A true Christians main concern lies in the right ordering of his own spirit. This will do more to fix the affections, and excite the esteem of a husband than fancy jewelry and fashionable apparel, that usually comes with a forward and quarrelsome temper. Christians ought to do their duty to one another, from a loving heart and a willing mind, and in obedience to God.
Wives should be subject to their husbands, but not from dread or amazement, but from desire to do well, and please God. The husband's duty to the wife implies giving due respect unto her, and maintaining her authority, protecting her, and placing trust in her. They are heirs together of all the blessing of this life and that which is to come, and should live peaceably with each other. Prayer sweetens their unity. It is not enough that they pray with the family, but husband and wife together by themselves, and with their children.
Amen!!

Fear Not Unless?
2 Timothy 1:7
"For God hath not given us the spirit
of fear; but of power, and love,
and of a sound mind"
Where in God's Word does it say; do not fear unless? Well, you will not find it. Fear is defined as a feeling of alarm caused by the expectations of danger, pain or disaster. One of the first emotions we experience as babies is fear. That is the "inborn fear," the fear of falling and a loud noise. Jesus said over and over, "do not be afraid" to His apostles and disciples and too us as it is written in (2 Timothy 1:7)
In the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), "Fear" was one of the "reason" that the man with one talent offered, for not doing anything with the talent his master had given him. The master's response was not of understanding or sympathy, but anger!
Fear is the presence of "Evil." There is a list of eight types of people that the Bible speaks of that will have their part in the lake of fire and brimstone, this being the second death. The first type that is listed is "The Fearful, and Unbelieving," (Revelations 21:8).
God has given those that believe, the spirit of power, and of love, and a sound mind. With God there is no fear! When I was a small boy; anytime there would come a big storm, I felt safe with my Dad, for he made the presence of fear go away. My friends without Jesus Christ in your lives, you will live a fearful live, and a fearful live ends with the second death. I pray that if you don't have Christ in your life today, you will pray the prayer of repentance today.

Hearts Have No Hiding Place
John 2:24
"But Jesus did not commit himself unto
them, because he knew all men"
Jesus was performing many miracles in Jerusalem, and as a result many believed in Him. But one may wonder why, "Jesus did not commit Himself unto them?" This phrase was significant then and still is today. Why? Because it reveals that only Christ knew if the people were sincere.
We must never take this verse of Scripture lightly! It doesn't just mean that God knows your name; it's that God knows everything about everybody. But here The Apostle John is talking about those who believed in Christ. Christ knew their true intentions, He saw the hypocrisy and shallowness of their faith. Even though this people followed Christ and to them they thought they were Christians; Christ saw the hypocrisy of their faith. Were they in fact unbelievers who only accepted those things that they had seen with their eyes.
We have an all knowing God! God is still God today, just as He was when He walk this earth as the man called Jesus. Never take the Word of God lightly! Embed The Word in your heart! Let God See your faith through your heart, and others see it through your actions. Seek Salvation today, through the Blood of Jesus Christ.

To Know That God Is Always There!
Isaiah 10:4b
"For all this his anger is not turned away
but his hand is stretched out still"
God's anger was kindled once again against Israel, because of their pride and stoutness of heart. Their leaders would write grievous and unrighteous decrees (Isa. 10:1-2). And the people would follow their leaders just as they did from the time they left Egypt; until they reached the land that God had promised their forefathers, "and they possessed the land as God had promised."
When we are faced with trouble, trials and tribulation; it is to bring the misery and pain of sin to our remembrance, and humble us, and to awaken us to the sense of our duty as a child of God. This is a fruit, of being saved; "To know that God is all ways there!" For when these are gained by "affliction", they shall be removed in "mercy." God will be as a fire to consume the workers of iniquity, both body and soul. Who will be able to stand before Our Holy God! My friends that time shall come; will you be able to stand before God as a believer in His son Jesus Christ our Saviour?
I pray that we all will!

Is Your Affection For God Disguised
Isaiah 7:13
"And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David;
It is a small thing for you to weary men,
but will ye weary my God also?"
Secret disaffection to God is often disguised with the color of respect to Him; and those with that resolve are the ones that will not "respect or trust God." They pretend not to tempt Him. The prophet reproved Ahaz and his court, for the little value they had for Divine revelation. Nothing is more grievous to God than distrust; but the unbelief of man "shall not dismantle the promise of God."
How great is our distress and danger of life in eternal hell, if it were not for the "Blood Sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ." You can not be destroyed while that blessing is in you! Our strongest help and guidance in time of trouble are derived from Christ, our relationship to Him,our expectations of Him and from Him are all based of faith and trust in Him.
The Prophecy is solemn, the sign is so marked, as given by God Himself. If the prospect of the coming of Christ was a never-failing support to the ancient believers? What a cause we have to be thankful that the word was made flesh! May we Trust in Him and Love Him, and copy His example.

Take All That God Offers
Ezekiel 2:8
"But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto
thee; Be not thou rebellious like that
rebellious: open thy mouth and
eat that I give thee"
Ezekiel was directed by God to perform many unusual acts in connection with the message that he had received from God. In this vision he ate a scroll, presumably because it had on it the words he was to utter(Ezek. 3:1-4), and another time Ezekiel acted out an escape through the city wall by some of his fellow countrymen in Jerusalem (Ezek. 12:3-7). He used a type of shadowboxing to depict the Babylonian slaughter that was coming (Ezek. 21:14-17). At times during his preaching he would clap his hands, stamp his feet and cry, "Alas" (Ezek. 6:11), or as he cried and wailed he would slap his thighs (Ezek. 21:12). As a sign to the people, he used a brick to represent Jerusalem and built a model depicting it's siege (Ezek. 4:1-3).
Ezekiel was told by God to go into a rebellious nation and deliver a message from Him. Now Ezekiel was told to stand and God would speak to him, and when he stood up "The Spirit of God" enter into him. Do you think that Ezekiel wanted to go? He was chose by God; not commanded, but chose. You and I are the same as Ezekiel, when the Holy Spirit enter us and tells us to listen God has something to say to you or something for you to do it would be wise to listen. It may not be an audible voice; but you will know. All these signs and gestures that Ezekiel was told to make is no different from what God tells us today. God's purpose for Ezekiel was to show them what was coming and how, He would deliver it, and to let them know The Lord God had spoken these things
and that there had been a prophet among them.
Jesus Christ preached the same message many years ago and God knew the only way to defeat sin was through the Death and Resurrection of His Son Jesus. My friends if we are called to do something for God, no matter how small or large or how God directs us, then that's the way we must respond. Never fight against what God wants you to do. What God wants from you may seem huge and impossible; But to Him it is being obedient to His Word!

It's Ou Duty To Attend To God's Word
Ezekiel1:20
"Whitersoever the spirit was to go they
went, thither was the spirit go"
It is mercy to have the Word of God brought to us. And a duty to attend to it diligently, when we are in affliction. The voice of God came in fulness of light and power, by the Holy Spirit. The visions that Ezekiel seen was sent to possess his mind with great and high thoughts of God. To strike terror upon sinners. To speak comfort to those that fear God, and humbles themselves.
No matter how much we search out God we will never do it to perfection. An Ox excels in diligence and patience, and unwearied discharge of the work he has to do. An Eagle excels piercing sight when soaring high. And the Angels who excel man in all respects, put out these appearances. The Angles have wings, and whatever business God sends then to do, they waste no time.
In the visions they stood straight, and firm, and steady. They not only had wings for motion, but hands for action. We hurry about, but do nothing to a purpose. We have hands with no action. Christians must proceed as angles when doing business God sends them to do. When we go straight, we go forward. When we serve God with one heart, we perform work. We must keep our minds on God and not trifle with any little things. We must go wherever the Spirit of God leads us.
Amen!!

Fruits Of Our Love For God
Song of Solomon 7:13b
"Pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have
laid up for thee, O my beloved"
Lets look at our soul as God's spouse. We desire to feel new life, new joy, new gratitude; our heart blossoms with new prayers and our soul is pledging herself to new efforts. We also have some old fruits too! There is our first love; a choice fruit that, Jesus delights in. Our first faith, the simple faith, by which having nothing, we become possessors of all things. Our first Joy; when we first knew our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Then we have our old remembrance of the Promises. My friends this is the fruits of being in "Love With God." This is not just little love phrases; these are the fruits of my "Love For God." Tell God how much you love Him today, and look at the fruits in your "Love For God."

Partner Up With God
Isaiah 40:29
"He giveth power to the faint; and to them
that have no might he increaseth strength"
Many of us have not done a very good job with what God build into us. We see others who we think are more gifted, smarter, better looking or who had better luck. We doubt our strengths and abilities. Many times self-doubt prevents us from living abundantly. If this is your condition you can change it!
"God is now, this very moment, leading you into confident living. He is turning your weakness into strength. He has faith in you! See yourself as God sees you. Remember He has created you in His image. Daily we must picture our self as a person created in His image.
Think of you and God as joint partners and harness all the potential that He has already wired into you. Have awareness of the qualities within you, that build strength and power. Since God believes in you as your creator and is a "Full Partner" how can you not succeed?

Our Home Is Being Prepared
John 20:17
"And Jesus said to her, Touch me not;
for I am not yet ascended to my Father:"
What was the significance of Christ saying to Mary, "I am not yet ascended to my Father." Let's look at what He said First to Mary. Christ said, "Touch me not." The word "touch" translated in Greek is "haptomal" meaning "do not continue touching me. That was hard for Mary to understand because she knew who He was, Jesus Christ the same Jesus that was crucified and placed in a tomb three day's before.
Some suggest that Mary was attempting to show Christ that she desired for Him to remain in the world and not go to His father. Christ' command to her to stop touching Him was His explanation to her that His life now would not be the same as before His death. Christ was simply telling Mary that He would be ascending to His Father, which would complete His resurrected state.
Now remember the Greek Word "haptomal" and the fact that Christ resurrection was not complete yet. Christ knew to keep touching or handling Him could exert a modifying influence upon Mary or Himself and His complete resurrection. Mary's feelings at that time was no different than ours; For we desire Christ to set up His Kingdom with us. And we have that confirmation in John 14: 2 "In my Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."

Be Eager To Obey The Good News
Galatians 2:20
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless
I live; but Christ liveth in me"
The "Good News"! You can see how eager they were to obey the Good News. They wanted it to become their own "Good News!" Jesus' story became their story, in union with Him, they died to the bad news of their past. By the power of His rising, they entered a new life filled with Good news. His story merged with theirs, so that they knew by the many experiences of 'Faith."
When we were saved our personnel identities were not lost, they were found. As Jesus promised, "whoever loses his life for Me will find it" (Matthew 16:25). God never meant for us to be lonely and lost struggling along without Him. He made us for relationships with Him. Jesus Christ is the closet and best relationship one could ever have. His presence within completes us. His power to transform fulfills the untapped potential for which He created us. His proven authority over death ensures eternal life. "If you hear the "Good News" you are "called!" If you Obey the "Good News" you are "Chosen!"

Live Only For Christ!
Mark 2:21
"No man also seweth a peace of new cloth on
an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh
away from the old, and the rent is made worse"
This verse is one that has been read over and over by many a Christians, but not really thought about in their studies. Then there are those that have studied the verse, but with different ways of
teaching its meaning. The common meaning is this: An old garment, if it be torn, should be mended by a patch of old material; for if a patch of new material is used the strength or fullness takes away from the old garment. The end result is "the old and new will never agree."
Christ made these words plain and simple so even a child could understand. Christ' parable of the new cloth being used to make old cloth fuller (ie) dressed up, is exactly how we must understand the "New Birth in Christ and the divine nature of man (2 Peter 1:4). And the natural man who is governed by his environment, which comes from the fallen Adamic nature (ie) he does not possess the indwelling Spirit of God. They are different and will not work together, because the opposite of doctrine of Good and Evil. It would be like dressing something up and the ugly still shines through. Don't try to live both life's, live only for Christ!
AMEN!!

See God As God Is
Psalm 93:1
"The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty"
The Psalmist said this three thousand years ago, and we know what it means today far more than he ever imagined. When we study the area of nature it provides the believer with insights into glory and majesty of God. What we need to do is to avoid being too attached to any theory about how God made the universe, or the world, or how long it took. But all Christians must stand up for the fact that God did design and make all things, and they are all His.
When a person becomes a Christian, they have to adopt a completely new approach to God, and life, so that we can start recognizing and enjoying what God has created. Instead of seeing it in the place where worldly fashion, custom, or what we commonly hear; "beauty is only skin deep, or in the eye of the beholder." When one surveys the universe, they will see it as a testimony to the beauty of God. The universe shows the Wisdom, Power and "Beauty of God, and attests to his creative abilities, Glory and Majesty, and the great qualities in God's character. Christians know that God's nature is seen in a new and deeper way through the love of God, seen in the person and actions of Jesus Christ, and through the written word of God.

Faith Brings Peace
Mark 11:22
"And Jesus answering saith unto.
them, Have faith in God"
Works and law keep bringing doubt and uncertainty. Faith in Jesus brings peace with God. What a remarkable contrast it is through Jesus Christ; we have total and complete peace with God. We are no longer at war with ourselves. Through Christ we also have access to God. This means we can come to God in prayer and expect our prayers to be answered. It also means we have access to the eternal plan God has for every human life (Eph 2:10). God has made you for a reason, and He has a purpose to accomplish in your life. Our faith justifies us before God, and it also gives us access to the continuing grace of God as we live our lives here on earth.

An Ego Is A No-Go
Luke 14:11
"For whosoever exalteth himself shall
be abased; and he that humbleth
himself shall be exalted"
If you want to honor God, never try to be God. An ego can become idolatry all on its own. Jesus said that you demonstrate an honest humility by watching were you place yourself in public places. Jesus used a banquet to describe the struggle for advancement by where you set. The rule is this: "Never switch place cards. Never assume that you are important enough to squeeze in among the dignitaries at the head table. Enjoy the less noticeable table to the rear. Then you will never have to hear a forceful usher say, "Mister, I believe you would find it more comfortable somewhere in the rear of the building." Find a seat there in the first place, there is always plenty of room in the back.
Let you heart be the usher at every grand occasion. Do not trust your pride. Pride may deceive you into believing you should sit higher in the halls of ego. Your heart having been near to Jesus, knows better how to evaluate your importance. AMEN!!

Live Life For Heavenly Gain
Psalm 91:16
"With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation"
This indeed, is the emphasis of heaven's joy. blessed souls will never sin, never weep any more; for they shall not only be with the Lord, but ever with the Lord. This is the accent which is set on one's eternal life in heaven. It is "an inheritance, and an incorruptible one, that will not fade away." That my friends will be the believers "Crown of Glory". When once it is on the saint's head it can never fall, or be snatched off.
We live in deeds, not years; in thoughts, not breaths, in feelings, not in figures on a dial. We should count time by heart beats. Some hearts grow old before their time; others are always young. It is not the number of lines written on a page of our life; but it is "who liveth long liveth well! All other life is short and vain; "Those that liveth longest can tell "Of" living most for heavenly gain.
