God's Champion

                                           1 Samuel 17: 47
"For the battle is the Lord's"

David did not wait until his enemy had crossed the valley, but ran to select the pebbles needed for his sling. Goliath made fun of, and taunted him. To this boasting and blaspheming, David stood that day for the name of Jehovah God, the God of Israel would assuredly take up the challenge, and vindicate His servant’s faith. Thus all Gentile nations would see that the God of Israel was a living reality, while Israel also would learn the too long forgotten lesson that Jehovah saveth not by sword nor spear.
So confident was the Philistine that he did not even draw his sword or let down the visor of his helmet. One thrust of his heavy spear, he thought, was all that would be required. But in a moment later Goliath was lying helpless on the ground. And like this God’s champions, in every age, have gone out against giant wrongs, and this is why we may confidently over throw wickedness against our faith and the sins that claim supremacy over our lives.
        Amen!!

Then Said I; Send Me!

                                         Isaiah 6:8
"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying,
Whom shall I send, and who will go for
us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."

During the life of Isaiah the people no longer knew the Lord in a meaningful way or worshiped him. Their sacrifices and assemblies had become a sham, masking the injustices they had come to tolerate. Thus, burdened by the sin of his community, Isaiah had a life-changing vision of God’s glory in the place of worship. Overcome by awareness of his own sin and that of his people, Isaiah received forgiveness from the Lord’s minister.
When something needs to change, either in ourselves or in the culture in which we live, God’s judgment comes to the forefront of worship. The presence of God among his people can comfort the afflicted, but it can also afflict the comfortable. As we grow more sensitive to the majesty of God and to the power of his Word, he begins to move us beyond our comfort zone and to bring our life and conduct increasingly into conformity with his purposes. Then we, as Isaiah can go forth as God's spokesman to a sinful and indifferent world.  My Friends; it is time to move forward with The Gospel of Jesus Christ!
        Amen!!

Wake Up! Put Your Trust Back In Christ!

                                           John 3:19
"And this is the condemnation, that light has come
into the world, and men loved darkness rather
than light, because their deeds were evil."

O' How sin twists the human heart. How it turns us against the very one who gives us life, the Creator to whom we owe all our love.  How our selfishness hurts our own lives, and leaves our families in ruins. How much suffering has spread through the world because we left the peaceful way of God. Most of all, how our rebellion breaks God's heart with sorrow.
Even today someone in a spiritual sense is "crucifying" The Son of God all over again, and subjecting Him to public disgrace. Wake up! It's time to stop treating "the blood of the covenant, as an unholy event, and quit insulting The Spirit of Grace."  Let us all trample on Satan in the name of Jesus Christ.  Remember Satan has not gave his life for anyone! He just wants your soul in "Hell" with him!
My friends; let us all look back to the cross.  See the horror of our sins that Jesus took to His death for us.  That is how dearly He loved us.  Now His arms are stretched out to welcome you home.  Christ suffered so you and I could live.  He died so that you and I could be born again, and live life eternal.
        Amen!!

Rejoice, And Seek Increase Of The Gospel

                                          Philippians 1:12
"Understand, brethren, that the things which
happened unto me have fallen out rather
unto the furtherance of the gospel:"

It was of comparative indifference to Paul no matter what happen to him on this side of life, as long as the gospel progressed. To Paul the extension of the gospel meant the growing glory of Jesus.  He was prepared to live or die, so that Jesus might be magnified.  He was willing to live and suffer for Christ a little longer before going to heaven, if that would better serve the cause he loved.  Oh that we might experience a similar absorption in the interests of the gospel
It is clear that death is not an unconscious sleep.  It is gain! It is being loosed from anchorage of this world, that the soul may go forth on the broad ocean of God’s love.  It does not interrupt our conscious fellowship with the Lord. "It makes us alive with Him"! The moment of absence here is the moment of presence there. To die is therefore gain.  But while we are here let's spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the gift of eternal life He holds for all people.  We are only "one breath away" just one breath until the========we+++++to Jesus!.
         Amen!!

Our Daily Behavior In Christ

                                          Colossians 3:23
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily,
as to the Lord, and not unto men:"

The daily duties of the home, and business demands; that in the simplest domestic concerns the Christian should at all times keep in mind the high claims of Christ.  No act of life can be left outside the sacred enclosure of His everlasting love.  Others words our life as a believer in Christ, should always bear witness no matter "where we are," "what we are doing," "or who we are with in or outside the House of God."  As the moon affects the tides around the world,  so must the power of Christ’s resurrection make itself felt in the behavior of the servant of our Lord!

God's Harsh Warnings = "Love"

                                          Leviticus 26:16
"I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over
you terror, consumption, and the burning ague,
that shall consume the eyes, and
                                       cause sorrow of heart"

God warned his people of sin’s consequences for the same reason a parent warns a child of danger to protect and provide for them out of love.  God wanted his people to prosper through their compliance to his design for life.  And he wanted it so much that he promised to reward them if they obeyed (Leviticus 26:3-13).  Even if the Israelites chose to disobey God and were scattered among their enemies, God would still give them the opportunity to repent and return to him (26:40-45).  God did not want to destroy the Israelites, but to help them grow. That is the purpose of his harsh warnings.
Our day to day experiences and hardships can sometimes seem overwhelming.  God allows these events to happen to help us grow, not to curse us.  We need to see that God’s purposes are to help us live as he designed us to live and to bring about continual growth in us.  Jeremiah 29:11 tells us very simply:  "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord."  They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."  To retain hope while we suffer shows that we understand God’s merciful ways.

Pressing Forward

                                         Hebrews: 12:1
"Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which
doth so easily beset us, and let us run with
patience the race that is set before us"

We are still in the arena; probably every blow and sigh are beheld and heard by God and His angels.  What an incentive to lay aside all burdens or, whatever in your life that may be a hindrance, though hardly a sin!  But above all, we must put away the sin of unbelief, which we can do by turning unto our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Jesus began and finished His life by the same faith; "the faith of the Son of God" which each of His children has to exercise. The light beyond the Cross beckoned to Him and inspired Him with love, that he counted no cost, if only He might realize the possibilities that gleamed before His vision, of an elect church and a transformed world.  My friends, the way is paid. The only cost to you is to believe in Christ and have no part of Satan and his sinful world!

Showers Of Blessing

                                          Ezekiel 34:26
"And I will cause the shower to come down in
his season; there shall be showers of blessing."

Though we may feel at times, that God seems to make no difference between the oppressors and the oppressed, the time is fast coming when He will make very surprising and lasting distinctions, (Matt. 25:32-33).  Our Lord is "the One Shepherd," peerless and matchless in dignity and authority. Once He died to save His flock from the wolf, but He is destined to reign forever as their Great Shepherd in the midst of them (Ezek. 34:24).  They shall be everlastingly exempted from hunger, harm, and reproach. Jesus has been raised up from the dead to be our plant of honor.  Planted in the grave of death, He has become with His faithful people a Vine, whose shadow covers the hills, and enriches the hearts and lives of men with luscious fruit.  And because He lives, we shall live also. His resurrection implies and guarantees our own.

It Is Wisdom To Keep A Godly Conscience

                                           Isaiah 5:25
"For all this his anger is not turned away,
but his hand is stretched out still.

And hear we are! Sins described which will bring judgments upon people: and perhaps this is not only a charge against the men of Judah who lived at that time, and the particular articles of that charge, though it may relate primarily to them, but is rather intended for warning to all people, in all ages, to take heed of these sins, as destructive both to particular persons and to communities, and exposing men to God's wrath and his righteous judgments.
Those that are charged are said to be in a woeful condition; who eagerly set out to sin, and be violent in their pursuit, and go through pain to reach their gratifying appetites, of humor and lust.  But they will find themselves disappointed, for the cords of vanity, will break when they come to any stress. For the righteous Lord will cut in sunder the cords of the wicked, (Ps. 129:4; Job 4:8; Pro22:8). They are long confirmed habits, hardened in sin that they cannot get clear of it.
So, does this charge sound familiar to you?  Are you on a path of hardened sin and have no fear of any consequence; think of this! If God frowns upon us, how could we smile?  Look around to the earth, and what used to be the land of light and the joy of the whole earth, and behold darkness and sorrow, all frightful, all mournful, nothing hopeful. Then look up to heaven, and there the light is darkened, where one would expect to find it. If the light is darkened in the heavens, O' how great the   darkness will be! If God hide his face, the heavens would appear gloomy.  It is wisdom, to keep a good conscience, to keep a redeemed union between us and God, that we may have light from His smile, and the warmth of His love in our hearts.
        Amen!!

Hear No Evil! See No Evil! Speak No Evil!

                                          Proverbs 17:9
                   "He that covereth a transgression seeketh love;
but he that repeateth a matter
                                    separateth very friends."

We all, at one time or another, have covered a transgression. Other-words, we know or heard of something that would hurt someones feelings or their relationship with others. However; we keep it to ourselves unless there is possible harm to that person. We must also make notice for ourselves, and not react to things said or done to ourselves. Pity transgression against ourselves and others, if spread and not kept silent will only lead to evil.
If things are done to you or someone else in oversight; then overlook it. If it was done through forgetfulness; forget it. The way to preserve peace is to make the best of everything; "don't repeat"     things you hear or see, and don't spread rumors that would possibly hurt relationships. That small transgression that you don't cover could very well hinder a person from crossing the threshold to Salvation. A peace maker seeks love, but a tale bearer seeks evil. Which Are You!

Before Honor Is Humility

                                          Proverbs 15:33
"The fear of the Lord is the instruction of
wisdom; and before honor is humility."

Fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom.  It is also the beginning of knowledge, and the instruction of wisdom.  Wisdom derives its most important lessons from the fear of God.  He who fears God much, is well taught.  And before honor is humility.
There are, few people to ever arrive at honor who are not humble; and those who from low life have risen to places of trust and confidence, have been worthy of notice for humility.  We may rest assured that the providence of God will never elevate a proud man; "those" God beholds afar off.  He may get into places of trust and profit, but God will eject him, and the people will curse him, and curse his memory.  So will it be with anyone who, teaches and preaches  "The Gospel Of Jesus Christ
our Saviour."

God And Man

                                             Exodus 20:3
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

The manifestation of His power and His love precedes the claim for reverence and obedience. This is a universal truth. God gives before He asks us to give. He is not a hard taskmaster,  Even in that system which is eminently ‘the law,’ the foundation is a divine act of deliverance, and only when He has won the people for Himself by redeeming them from bondage does He call on them for obedience.  His rule is built on benefits.  He urges no mere right of the mightier, nor cares for service which is not the glad answer of gratitude.  But God's first words made a tenderer appeal, and sought to found His right to command on His love, and their duty to obey showing gratitude.
The great gospel principle, that the Redeemer is the lawgiver, and the redeemed are joyful subjects because their hearts are touched with love, underlies the apparently sterner system of the Old Testament; "God opens His heart first, and then asks for man’s."  God gave us His only begotten Son; Jesus' to die on  Mount Calvary; a horrible death on a wooden cross.  And now by the grace of God, and the Blood of Jesus Christ; all can have eternal life if they "Believe"!!

An Up-Side Down World

                                       Psalm 19:8
The Statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing
the heart: the commandment of the Lord
                          is pure, enlightening the eyes."

People are comfortable with their home, car's, campers and all the other things they can get their hands on to make them "satisfied" in life.  But really are they?  The answer is "NO," and this is why.  I have set in Barber Shops, in Beauty Shops, and shopped in Supermarkets, and Gas Stations, and even after Church Service, in the parking lots of many Churches;  I and others have complained about how things in our lives are not going our way.  An of course there was always some one that would say; "If it was me I would do this,"  or  "The Government has us where they want us and they don't care."  Then there is always the one that would say;  "Somebody needs to do something "Quick,"or this world will be turned upside down."
I took that step from being one that complained, to one that help change.  My friends, we can complain about everything all day long, but complaining is like campaigning;  "It is just talk to state your position."   I do agree with one statement, we must get in evolved with our community, and fight for things we believe that is right, and stop all the needless grants the government is given to some of this research that cost Billion's of dollars. Let's all step up, help change, and say;  "Put that money to Good use!"  "Feed The Hungry, House The Homeless.  "This Country was not build on Gain!"   "It was build on Faith And Trust In God!"
The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.  "Franklin D. Roosevelt"                                Amen!!

God's Searching Glance

                                     Proverbs 15:3
"The eyes of the Lord are in every place,
beholding the evil and the good."

It is absolutely universal: The eyes of the Lord are "in every place." There is no secret place, from the eyes of God.  It is constant: Absolutely uninterrupted, day and night; through youth and age; in prosperity and in adversity; under all imaginable conditions.  It is thorough penetrating to the innermost sanctuary of the soul, searching its most secret places, "discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart;" discovering  the fair exterior that is foul within, and beneath the rugged surface the inward beauty which is breaking forth.
Those who are living and are purposing to live in the commission of some flagrant sin. Those who are deliberately rejecting the authority and disregarding the merciful overtures of God in Jesus Christ. And also those who are continually postponing the hour of decision and of return to their allegiance. These souls may fear to think that the eye of the Holy One is continually upon them; or they may be ashamed as they think that the eye of the appealing and disappointed Savior is regarding them.
My friend if your upon the hour of decision, repent, and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and cross that threshold into eternal life.  Then My friend you will know that the eyes of God is on you and in your favor as well!  I pray, that all who are without Christ' this day will seek Him, and accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior!

Soul Life Is Better Than Relieved Suffering

                                        Psalms 119:81
"My soul fainteth for thy salvation:
but I hope in thy word."

Through our prayer's God answers us, "My grace is sufficient for thee."  "My strength is made perfect in weakness."  Power to bear is a better Divine blessing than any mere removal of suffering from our bodies.  The wonder of our Lord’s bearing in the judgment halls and Calvary is the soul strength that triumphed over circumstances.
Soul life is better than relieved suffering;  but we find this very hard to believe.  We only do believe it as we realize that God’s idea for a man’s life is not the providing of a pleasant time, but the providing of a scene which shall become a moral discipline, out of which spiritual character may be evolved.  The suffering has in view the character; and to remove the suffering may be the worst thing that could happen to the man.  The sigh of the Divine using of the suffering for the highest ends is found in the imparting of soul strength.  It shows the suffering to be a blessing to us.
For the real measure of the suffering is the measure of power to bear which the sufferer has. Some can bear nothing; some can bear anything.  At one time we can bear what at another overwhelms.  Then strength to bear "the soul-life of full trust in God" does actually lift us above our sufferings, and makes all Christians feel that,  "Christ’s yoke is, easy and light." (Matt. 11:29-30).

God Knows All About You!

                                       Psalm 139:24
"And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting"

The God which we serve and love has a perfect knowledge of us and all the motions and actions, both of our outward and inward self.  We should therefore desire of Him that when He sees sin in our hearts, that He awakes to us, that sin so we can walk in the perfect enjoyment of His presence.  No one can escape the all pervading Being and observation of the Holy Spirit.  We are, whether we will it or not, as near to God as our soul is to our body, for the Holy Spirit dwells within the Christian (1Co 6:19).  It is dreadful work to sin, for it is insulting God to His face!
God alone is able to show us what we are.  We want a revelation from heaven to show us what we are to God.  It is not self-developed knowledge, nor is it a sudden, but a gradual, revelation. No man knows himself till he has known Christ, his true and better Self.  "That God," and not himself, is his Savior. "Lead me in the way everlasting."   God leads us into ways that last, He keeps us in them, and draws us onward along the path of everlasting life.
        Amen!!

Out Of Spiritual Growth, Comes' A Different Man

                                         Genesis 33:20
"And he erected there an altar, and
                                    called it El-elohe-Israel"

After his favorable meeting with Esau, Jacob built an altar to God and called it "God, the God of Israel."  By this he was acknowledging that the Lord was indeed his God.  Jacob recognized that Esau’s changed heart was evidence of the power of God at work.  Like Jacob, we should watch for and acknowledge God’s silent work in our life and the lives of others. The changed human heart is one of the greatest testimonies to God’s power.
O GOD, the God of Israel, we confess our weakness to change our heart or the hearts of others. Work mightily in our heart so that we may reflect your glory to this evil world.  We praise you and proclaim you as our God.
        Amen!!

God's Call For Silence, To The World!

                                           Zechariah 2:13
"Be Silent, everyone, in the presence
of the Lord, for he is coming from
                                     his Holy dwelling place"

The call to all to "be silent" will be when God comes forth from heaven. Where He has dwelt unseen, and is about to inflict vengeance on the enemy, before taking up His dwelling in Zion and the Temple. However, God is now "silent" while the Gentile, (Other Nations) speaks arrogance against His people; but "our God shall come and no longer keep silence;" then in turn must all flesh "be silent" before Him.
Here is a prediction of the coming of Christ in human nature.  Many nations in that day will renounce idolatry, and God will own those who join Him with purpose of heart. My friends, glorious times are foretold as a prophecy of our Lord's coming Kingdom.  God is about to do something unexpected, and very surprising, Our God has not neglected His Church.
We must silently submit to his Holy will, and patiently wait the event; assured that God will complete all His work.  He will soon come for judgement, to complete the salvation of His people, and punish the inhabitants of the earth for their sins.  The time and date of Christ return is unknown, even to Him.  Only God Knows!
Amen!!

To Know The Mysteries Of God's Kingdom

                                         Zechariah 1:13
"And the Lord answered the angel that talked
with me good words and comfortable words"

For us to know something of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, we must apply, not to angels, for they are themselves learners, but to Christ himself.  He is ready to teach those who wish to learn the things of God.  The nations near Judea were enjoying peace during this time, but the state of the Jews was unsettled, which gave way to the pleading that followed; but mercy must only be hoped for through Christ, and His intercession for his church always prevails.  The Lord answered the Angel, with promises of mercy and deliverance.  All the good words and comfortable words of the gospel we receive from Jesus Christ, as he received them from the Father, and his ministers are to preach them to all the world.
In the vision, the earth sat still, and was at rest.  It is not uncommon for the enemies of God to be at rest in sin, while his people are enduring correction, harassed by temptation, disquieted by fears of wrath, or groaning under oppression and persecution.  Here are predictions which had reference to the revival of the Jews after the captivity, but those events were shadows of what shall take place in the church, after the oppression of the New Testament Babylon is ended.  My friends;  God has laid out the end times for us all.  Spiritually study God's Word, and what God has written, we can watch God put His plan in to action for;  "Jesus Christ Return."
        Amen!!

Keep Your Heart With All Watchfulness

                                         Haggai 1:5
"Now therefore thus saith the lord
                            of host; Consider your ways."

Set your heart on your ways; your affections, thoughts, works, so as to be circumspect in all things; as the apostle Paul says, (1Tim 5:21), "Do nothing without forethought," ie, without previous judgment of reason; "Son, do nothing without counsel and when thou hast done it thou wilt not repent."  They who do not set their hearts upon their ways, do they not daily incur almost countless sins, in thought, word, desire, deed, and yes by omission their duties?  Such are all fearless persons who heed not to fulfill what is written; "Keep your heart with all watchfulness" (Proverbs 4:23).
He sows much to his own heart, but "brings in little," who by reading and hearing knows much of the heavenly commands, but by negligence in deeds bears little fruit.
If we would have the comfort and continuance of temporal enjoyments, we must have God as our Friend.  When God crosses our temporal affairs, and we meet with trouble and disappointment, we shall find the cause is, that the work we have to do for God and our own souls is left undone, and we seek our own things more than the things of Christ.  How many, who plead that they cannot afford to give to pious or charitable designs, often lavish ten times as much in needless expenses on their houses and themselves!  But those are strangers to their own interests, who are full of care to adorn and enrich their own houses, while God's temple in their hearts lies waste.
It is the great concern of every one, to apply to the necessary duty of self-examination and communion with our own hearts concerning our spiritual state.  Sin is what we must answer for; duty is what we must do.  But many are quick-sighted to pry into other people's ways, who are careless of their own. If any duty has been neglected, that is no reason why it should still be so.  Whatever God will take pleasure in when done, we ought to take pleasure in doing.  Let those who have put off their return to God, return with all their heart, while there is time.
        Amen!!

Faith In Christ Will Carry You Through

                                       Matthew 8:10
"Verily I say unto you, I have not found
so great faith, no, not in Israel"

Here we have a Roman centurion, a Gentile, who came seeking healing for his servant, and another in Matt. (15:21-28).  In both cases Christ healed at a distance. In (Eph. 2:12-13) Gentiles are said to be "afar off" spiritually speaking. In both cases it was faith that Christ honored, and it was by the power of His Word that the miracles took place.
The Jews thought that they were assured special favor by God, but the Lord reminded them that they could be "last" in the Kingdom of God, while those who thought themselves "last," such as the robbers, and prostitutes and others not in the blood line of Christ, would be "first" if they "exercised" faith in Him.
The time has come for all people around the world to "pay attention " to our thoughts of where we'll be, "last or first in the Kingdom.  If you have never repented, to Christ and admitted that you are a sinner, and by faith you believe that Christ died for you sins on the cross at Calvary, and resurrected from the grave, and ascended up to Heaven; You're going to be last and your name will not be written in "The Lambs Book of Life"!  If your saved and serve our Lord, then you are on the "first list" and your name is in "The Lambs Book Of Life"  What a day that will be, when we all shall see!
        Amen!!

Meekness Saves, Pride Destroys

                                        Zephaniah 2:3
"Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth,
which have wrought his judgment; seek
                               righteousness, seek meekness

Seek ye the Lord!  He has exhorted sinners to penitence; and now He calls the righteous to persevere and increase more and more.  He bids believers, "seek diligently" and that with a three-fold call, to seek Him from whom they received daily the three-fold blessing;  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Those, he calls, are already, by the grace of God, "meek," and  Submitting themselves to the word of God, "judging themselves that they be-not judged;" the beginning of which judgment is, as sinners and guilty of death, to give themselves to the Cross of the Lord, that is, to be "baptized" in "His Death and be buried with Him by Baptism into death;" but the perfection of that judgment or righteousness is, to walk in newness of life, as He rose from the dead through the glory of the Father (Rom 6:3-4).
This my friends is our call to duty.  Not just a one time call, or a when I can call!  It is a "Daily Call To Duty."  Our Duty is to hold to our Christianity and to increase in wisdom, but to seek it diligently through the three-fold blessing;  The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.  Our Mission Statement Is:  "Christ Died For Us, Let's live for Him."
        Amen!!

Rejection Of Others Means Nothing! Believing In Christ Is Life!

                                        Micah 7:8
"Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy:
when I fall, I shall arise;"

To rejoice over the fall or miseries of any man, betrays a malignant spirit.  I have known several instances where people professing to hold a very pure and Christian creed, having become unfaithful and fallen into sin, that their family and friends, who held a very impure and unchristian creed, have enjoyed saying “Ha, ha! so would we have it!” and have shown an act of great malice, by giving all possible publicity and circulation to such accounts in a person's life.  Perhaps in the sight of God this was worse than the one's that fall, in which they exulted as having taken place in one who held a creed different from their own.  But these arose again from their fall, while those jesters at holiness continued in the gall of bitterness and bonds of inward corruption.
The world is full of people with an impure and unchristian creed. If you are one that has broke ranks with them, and now follows Jesus Christ, be prepared to defend what you believed in, and know is true.  "Jesus Christ came to save,  He died on the cross, for the sin's of this world!  "With the Grace of God, and Through the Blood of Jesus Christ; I Know I'm One!
        Amen!!

Christ Is The Breaker For All!

                                           Micah 2:13
"The breaker is come up before them:"

And there comes to each of us a mighty Deliverer, who breaks the gates of brass, and who cuts the bars of iron in pieces.  Christ comes to us!  By His death He has borne away the guilt; by His living Spirit He will bear away the dominion of sin from our hearts; and if the Son will make us free we shall be free indeed.  I pray you believe in that deep truth, which the Lord Christ has spoken in words that carry conviction in their very simplicity to every conscience: "He that committeth sin is the slave of sin."   To us all ‘the Breaker is gone up before us,’ the prison gates are open. Follow His steps, and take the freedom which He gives; and be sure that you "stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made you free, and be not entangled again with any yoke of bondage."
Men and women! Some of you are the slaves of your own lusts.  Some of you are held in bondage by some habit that you abominate, but cannot get away from.  Here is freedom for you. The dark walls of the prison are around us all.  "The Scripture hath shut up all in sin, that He might have mercy upon all."  Blessed be His name!  As the angel came to the sleeping Apostle, and with his light touch on the iron gates they swung open on their hinges, and Roman soldiers who ought to have watched their prey were lulled to sleep, and chains that held the limbs dropped as if melted; so, silently, in His meek and merciful strength,  Christ comes to us all, and the iron gate which leadeth out into freedom opens of its own accord at His touch, and the chains fall from our limbs, and we go forth free men. "The Breaker is gone up before us."
        Amen!

Excitement For A Lifetime

                                             Matthew 9:2
"Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee"

Can you remember the times in your life that were filled with "excitement," and I'm not talking about joy, by being surprised by a Birthday Party, or gifts, or after your first date?  No, I'm talking about excitement that is life changing.
My wife Janet, shared her most exciting moment with me a few weeks ago.  She was driving home from church, and she had just gotten saved.  Now this happen December 8th 1996!  As she was driving, a feeling of overwhelming burst of joyous excitement over came her, of what she had just received from Jesus Christ; "A New Birth And Life Eternal."  She was so excited about being forgiven for her sins, She was asking God to take home now!  Janet was so excited she could not wait, and wanted to meet her Savior Jesus Christ.  Well she is still here, and still excited.  That my friends is,  "Excitement For A Life."
And Jesus seeing their faith, said unto the sick of palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee (Matt. 9:2).  Jesus said this to the man that was crippled with palsy, because He knew the mans heart, plus the the faith of his friends.  Here his sickness was no longer and his sins were erased.  All that saw this marveled, and glorified God.
Our Lord fills us with joy and shows us ever lasting love in our walk with Him.  But the most excitement you will ever have is when you realize all that you have received, and what to look forward to in the next life; which will be eternal.  It is an overwhelming burst of joyous excitement.  "Excitement For A Lifetime!!"
        Amen!!
