The Attack

Isaiah 10:27
"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away
from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and
the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing."

By our afflictions we may learn not to make others our source of confidence. The only way for comfort is from God; Therefore return to him in truth, not in pretense and profession only. God will justly bring judgment on evil provoking people, but will graciously take the burden and destroy the yoke upon thy neck. It is against the mind and will of God, that His people, whatever happens, should give way to fear God's anger, against His people, is but for a moment; and when that is turned from us, we need not fear the fury of man.
The rod with which He corrected us, shall not only be laid aside, but thrown into the fire. And "because of the anointing;" There is redemption of believers from the tyranny of sin and Satan. And this, "because of the anointing;" for his people Israel's sake, the believers among them that had received the unction of Divine grace. And for the sake of the Messiah, the Anointed of God. Here in, (v-28-34) A description of Sennacherib's march towards Jerusalem, when he threatened to destroy that city. Then the Lord, in whom Hezekiah trusted, cut down his army like the hewing of a forest.
My Friends, Let us apply what is written here, to like matters in this age and the coming ages of the church of Christ. Because of the anointing of our great Redeemer, the yoke of every antichrist must be broken from off His church: and if our souls partake of the unction of the Holy Spirit, complete and eternal deliverances will be secured.
Amen!

Avoid The Proud

Isaiah 2:22
"Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils:
for wherein is he to be accounted of?"

Those that have trusted on the arm of man will become ashamed of their confidence. The Providences of God concerning you shall speak this aloud to you, and therefore take warning beforehand, that you may prevent the uneasiness and shame of disappointment; and consider, How weak man are. His breath is in his nostrils, puffed out every moment, soon gone forever. Man is a dying creature, and may die quickly. The breath in our nostrils is like one standing at the door, ready to depart. The doors of the nostrils are always open, the breath in them may slip away, in a moment. Then is man to be accounted of! No reckoning is to be made of him, for he is not what he seems to be, what he pretends to be or what we fancy him to be.
My Friends, We must not put our trust in man. Let not  your eye be caught by the power of man, for it is not from him that your judgment proceeds. Let not him be your fear, let not him be your hope; but look up to the power of God, to which all the powers of men are subject and subordinate; dread God's wrath, secure God's favor, take God  for your help, and let your hope be in the Lord your God.”
Amen!

True Peace

Isaiah 2:2
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the
LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains,
and shall be exalted above the hills; and all
nations shall flow unto it."

This prophecy is relating to the last days, the days of the Messiah, when God's kingdom will be set up in the world, at the latter end of the Mosaic economy. In the last days of the earthly Jerusalem, just before the destruction of it, this heavenly Jerusalem should be erected. "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels," (Heb. 12:22). "But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all," (Gal. 4:26).
Gospel times are the last days. They were long in coming, and a great while waited for by the Old Testament saints, and they came at last. "Pentecost Was First of the Last Days."  We are not to look for any dispensation of divine grace but what we have in the gospel, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed," (Gal. 1:8).
We are to look for the second coming of Jesus Christ at the end of time, as the Old Testament saints did for Jesus Christ first coming; "for this is and will be the last time,"   "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time," (1 John 2:18.
My Friends, Pray for True Peace!  Let's follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ, our Saviour.  Let us then go on our way rejoicing, and let our joy come for serving God, and knowing that God is our strength.

Our Nation At Battle With Sin

Isaiah 1:7
"Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire:
your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and
it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers."

We will hope to meet with a brighter and more pleasant scene before we come to the end of this year.  Truly, in the beginning of this work of evil in our nation, and around the world, it started out to be a peaceful movement. However; It didn't take long and evil stepped his foot in the doorway and has not stopped yet.  What a friendly world this would be, if the church's and every person in our nation would wake up and realize;  "Hey we don't base our live off of what happen in the History Books." If we do that, we are living and doing the things the way it was done then. If so we are moving backwards and a dismal outcome for our Nation.
My Friends, We owe the continuance of our lives and comforts, and all our advancements, to God's fatherly care of us and kindness to us. It is good for us that have been saved from utter ruin to look back and see how near we were to it, just upon the brink of it, to see how much we owed to a few good men that stood in the gap, and to our Almighty God, who placed these good men. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed.
Amen!

What Will Be Your Destiny

Acts 7:49-50  "Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool:
what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what
is the place of my rest? Hath not my hand
made all these things?"

The speech of Stephen begins to accelerate, and by implication it has been condemning the attitude of the Jews; He speaks of the continued disobedience of the people. In the days of Moses they rebelled by making the golden calf. In the time of Amos their hearts went after Moloch and the star gods. Stephen reminds them that they have had the most amazing privileges. They have had the succession of the prophets; the tent of witness, so called because the tables of the Law were laid up and kept in it; the Law which was given by angels.
Let's put things together here; continuous disobedience and continuous privilege. The more privileges a man has, the greater his condemnation, "if" he takes the wrong way. Stephen is saying that the condemnation of the Jewish Nation was, because in spite of the fact that they had every chance to know better they continuously rebelled against God. Has much changed? No! It is not Just the Jewish Nation, I am speaking of the entire World. So This statement applies to all: The more privileges a man has, the greater his condemnation, "if" he takes the wrong way.
Stephen tells them they have limited God. The Temple which should have become their greatest blessing was in fact their greatest curse; they had come to worship it instead of worshiping God. Does that still go on today in our Church's Temples and Mosque? Yes it does because of  socialism. We get involved with only our Church circle and social media, and a lot of times God is not involved.
My Friends, We need to check ourselves and stop serving the evil of socialism and the media, and turn to The God of all men whose dwelling was and is the whole universe. It is a sorrow to see people who have refused the destiny that God offered them. Eternal Life!

Amen!

All Things In Common

Acts 4:32
"And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart
and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought
of the things which he possessed was his own;
but they had all things common."

Here Luke describes a sudden change which is typical of Christianity. Immediately before this all things were moving in a Joyful atmosphere. There were great thoughts of God; there were prayers for the Holy Spirit; there were exultant quotations from the Old Testament. Now without warning the narrative changes to the most practical things. However, these early Christians had their moments on the heights, they never forgot that someone had not enough and that all must help. Prayer was supremely important, the witness of words was supremely important, but the culmination was love of the brotherhood.
My Friends, Two things we see here. First: They had an intense sense of responsibility for each other. Second: This awoke in them a real desire to share all they had. We must note one thing above all this sharing was not the result of legislation; it was utterly spontaneous. It is not when the law compels us to share; but when OUR HEART MOVES US TO SHARE!! That is what is missing in our society;  Real Christianity!!
Amen!

God Will Prevail

Acts 4:24--25 "
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one
accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven,
and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the
mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the
heathen rage, and the people
imagine vain things?"

Here we have the reaction of the Christian Church in the hour of danger. It might have been thought that when Peter and John returned with their story a deep depression would have fallen on the Church, as they looked ahead to the troubles which were now bound to descend upon them. The one thing that never even struck them was to obey the Sanhedrin's command to speak no more. Into their minds at that moment came certain great convictions and into their lives came a tide of strength.
They had the conviction of the power of God. With them was He who was creator and sustainer of all things. Once the papal envoy threatened Martin Luther with what would follow if he persisted in his course and warned him that in the end he would be deserted by all his supporters. "Where will you be then?" demanded the envoy. "Then as now," Luther answered, "in the hands of God." For the Christian, they that are for us are always more than they that are against us.
My Friends, Our country is filled with rage and man is heading to a Civil War. They may trample and toss their heads; in the end they will have to accept the discipline. Men may make their defiant gestures against God; in the end God Will Prevail.
Amen!
